We are both top 25 diamond with my main being Z and his being T.
Testing with the battle hellion
Scenario 1: I played Protoss and got up that late high upgrade zealot, archon, sentry, high templar, stalker comp with no new units while my friend went Terran bio with battle hellions.
The battle hellions do very well against against the charge lots and if I didn't good storms on the battle hellions I wouldn't be able to win the fight.
Scenario 2: We decided to play a normal game so I.............. built a Nexus in his main. As soon as the game started I looked at the Nexus and saw that the Nexus Core only cost 75 minerals and 25 gas.
Alright to explain my train of thought to where I thought this would be a good idea, I saw in the multiplayer video that was released I saw that the nexus core was attacking so my assumption was that the Nexus Core cannon attack came with it but I was wrong. The Nexus Core runs on the Nexus energy for it's abilities so when the Nexus came out I had no energy.
I then proceeded to get rolled.
Scenario 3:
This was a actual game where I played Z and my friend played T. I opened hatch first and was basically playing two base infestor but replacing infestors with swarm host. The swarm host don't require the burrow upgrade so that was nice. Even they do decent damage they fell very anti-zergy. Not a huge fan and I probably won't adopt them into my play.
I only played HoTS on Friday since I just wanted to watch the games, overall the consensus we came down to is that the majority of the new units/spells being introduced will bring a lot more options in the mid game and overall will increase the skill ceiling vastly.
