Its partially because everyone is anonymous on the internet, not always though.
Day9 gets pretty harsh judgement, "he doesn't have as good of understanding as he used to have, derp derp!" This is really just everywhere.... Let me tell you something BUDDY! There are about 0.5% of the sc2 world has equal/more understanding of the game then day9... And there are a lot more of 0.5% that are complaining about day9...
I really made this thread due to I saw this and it really got on my nerves.
Like since when is diablo 3 not awesome? Ehhh I couldn't play him the first week better rate the game ZERO on gamespot.... In about a year when we think of diablo 3, we won't think of how crappy of a game it is because you could not play it the first day... You will most likely think it of the legendary game that it truly is...

Well, the threads about what some pro gamer did wrong do tend to fill up pretty quick, but that kind of behavior really isn't restricted to the gaming community. It's just the internet generation venting
I wonder what percentage of people on TL (or other online gaming communities) actually participate in that kind of behaviour. Is it just a loud, small minority that gets a lot of attention? I think there are a lot of sponsors that are scared to death of endorsing anything controversial, so when a minority start to make noise they just drop it as fast as possible. But I guess I don't really know, maybe it would be interesting to see a poll done on this.

You can't hurt a product's feelings and you're probably not hurting anyone's livelyhood either. Literally the worst thing that can happen is that someone who would have enjoyed it ends up enjoying something else, because of the unfair criticism.

I'm not making a review here, just expressing my disappointment. I'm not trying to tell people if this is a good game or not. Just that I don't like it the same way there is a lot of people telling that they love the game.
That said, the problem with the screenshots I had was that they looked worse to me than D2. The same way that I preferred WC2 visuals to WC3 and BW to SC2. I know I'm a minority here. The trailers were cheesy, just like the game. The lame dialogue my wizard and her companion spewed out through the game was just... every time someone said something I just wanted to close the game. Again, I didn't come here to tell anyone is wrong for liking it.

I'm not making a review here, just expressing my disappointment. I'm not trying to tell people if this is a good game or not. Just that I don't like it the same way there is a lot of people telling that they love the game.

You liked the BW visuals over sc2? Then I am afraid you wont like any game in the coming future, unless you play some 8bit arcade games. Even the pros say that BW was an ugly game visually and that is a big reason why sc2 gets so much viewership is because its so fun to watch.

I just cant argue with you because I just don't have anything to say... Everything you mention is some minor addition to the game... Like saying you hate WOW because you think the first quest that you take as a human is boring... Or sc2 sucks because in the campaign the time when jimmy was drinking the liquor wasn't realistic.
You are just judging this game wrong... I don't like mass effect because you have an option to have a gay relationship... Its similar... Then I'm like well did you like the gameplay? or was the story fun? Yeah! But it sucks cause its gay... DERP?!?!
