Ohai dudes <3
First off this isn’t a SC2 “I want to be pro, you watch Ill show you all” kind of blog. This is just a general question out of interest. Its basically the title. What is your dream? I was in a meeting today and I sat there thinking about how insanely bad I wanted to own my own company, but the fact behind it is I had nothing to start the foundation of my business on, meaning I had no idea what industry I wanted to situate my business in.
A very long time ago I spent a majority of my time writing extensively a business plan for an internet café, I was told “Internet and computers are so cheap these day’s, why would anyone go?” I dismissed this fact and worked solidly to write a plan to apply for government funding (I assume it’s different in all states but the basis of it is basically you write your business plan and prove to them that your business is worth starting up).
After writing a lot of the financial side and visiting various cafes and studying how they did things. My motivation fell down after that, the financial side just didn’t seem to support me and it scared me to death. I mean I will deadest admit I have no fucking clue how to fix a computer or network or any of that, I purely wanted to run it from a business standpoint and wanted to run events ect.
Obviously it’s a bit stupid to want to run a café without any knowledge of technology and I spiralled down and stopped closely to finishing it because I was scared that I would start this and crash and burn. I told everyone and tried to convince myself “I would rather give my best and fail at attempting my dream then sit around thinking about it”. Obviously the fear of losing my cash and not wanting to invest my $100,000 into it I decided to stop.
When I rethink the idea of doing this I get excited, I really do but I doubt my intelligence and my business sense. I recently spoke to the owner of another business (he’s makes & sells candles online) and he told me that he wished he had started his business when he wanted to but he was also scared but now he has done it he’s never been happier.
He told me “Anything you do, will only fail if you let it fail”. I loved that line, but the era of internet café’s were basically dead and now I’m an average Joe. Working at the office 8-5, going to meetings ect.
While I wouldn’t say I despise my job, I just wish I could possibly find my true calling. I know for sure it isn’t this. My mates have gotten employed anywhere they could and just settled. I refuse to do that, but I’m like a headless chook running around at the moment, a man without a cause.

And I'm too young to have a dream, I just want to have fun and meet people :D

When it's all said and done I'd like to have proved one interesting thing. Interesting enough for someone else to cite it in there own interesting thing.

Sustain and Expand my rent's business. Not sure if this is my ultimate dream, but watching them work hard day and night during my earlier years really motivated me. I just hope I like it because accounting is my back up (boring as shit).

Whats the rents business? You mean parents or rental property?  I want to do something in the entertainment industry. I think the guys from rooster teeth have an amazing life

Being able to stand in front of thousands on a big stage playing music is next to impossible to achieve, but doable. The part about sexing the koreans are even more impossible, if it can get more impossible than impossible : ) but I will keep dreaming!

Ugh, I have several "dreams" to talk about...
First of all my lifetime goal is to become the supreme dictator of the world. I'm only half-kidding. I cannot disclose details as to how that'll come around because then I'll be making myself another competitor =P Basically, the goal is to become the head of a world central governing body that reigns supreme over all countries, but lets all the countries continue things as exactly as they are. My job would be to like bring justice as I see fit (haha, highly subjective justice here), like taking 50% of cash reserves from world's top 20 corporations (Apple here I come) then investing it in infrastructure projects across developing countries around the world. I would need supreme control because I don't think companies would so easily give up their $$$. Okay I just gave away one idea there, but I have many more =P
REALISTICALLY well okay this may still be a long shot, but my dream ever since childhood was to be someone worthy of reading about (biography). I've read a ton of biographies of great people in our history in my childhood (basically when I discovered SCBW the reading time dropped 99%). My dream is to become someone that future generations can look up to... kids will read about my life, and go like, "I want to be as great as OpticalShot". That's my dream.

Simple : Buy a house in a quiet, relatively isolated place; either surrounded by trees for a nice shade, with a nice yard + pool or close enough to a water source (river, beach, etc) with a car porch so I can watch storms from outside. Preferably about 15-20 minutes drive from work + city, but a place that no one really goes to so it stays quiet.
Other than that I want specific room setups in said house but I don't have any grand dreams. I want a fun job in my field of study, obviously, but I don't care for glory, lot's of money (beyond paying my debts, house, car and needs), hot wife, etc. I enjoy peace and quiet and the only thing that keeps me sane living in apartments is looking forward to the future.

Sounds nice and peaceful, Im not to interested in money or glory either. I just want to find that job that I love, that I want to go to every morning ect, you know?

First off I’m pledging my allegiance to your cause should you succeed I understand the biography part, but what would you do to make that happen? Invent a time machine? Feed Africans?
On a off note, it is a goal of mine to go to Canada (hopefully at the end of this year) .

To somehow find a living that enables me to live far away from society with as little human interaction as possible, and for that place that I live to be beautiful and green so that I can wile away the hours on personal projects and maybe playing some piano and Brood War.
Probably will not happen. Our society is so social-centric that if you don't know people you don't get to have possessions.
