It's only about 29 hours now, and I'll be on a plane headed back to the good old USA. I've spent the last 4 months in Bucharest, Romania, in my team Newrosoft's Progaming house. I can't describe how anxious I am to be home. I've missed my family and friends so much. It's actually been a bit painful at times.
It's crazy to think that I've spent 7 months in Romania in the last year. (I was here for 3 months before) But I have learned so much about life, and grown so much as a person in this time. Probably more than any other time in my life. As a teen I always envied IdrA and NonY, that is, during the time when they went to Korea. That was always my dream, but I never realized how much a man must sacrifice to do that, until now. I have another level of respect for anyone who is willing to leave their friends/family and everything that is familiar, in order to follow their dreams.
Some names that come to my mind right now are Lastshadow, Desrow, Major, Carn, Nightend, Naniwa, and SaSe.. I know that's not everyone, but those are the only ones I can think of right now.
I'm sure that some people adjust a lot easier than others. And it's unfortunate that not everyone has a loving and supporting family. But that's why I think it's really important to support these players. Watch their streams, post in their fanclubs, and tell them how much you respect what they do.
I won't make this too long - I've actually had a very hard time writing this up, my thoughts are very jumbled; I guess i'm just filled with a lot of emotion right now.

Yeah, I'll take a short break when I get home, but after a few days I will be back to practicing all day ery' day :D And yeah, I'll be at MLG Anaheim to play in the open bracket, as well as WCS.

Yeah I definitely have improved from staying in the house. For the first month and a half, ReSpOnSe was here, but he had a family emergency and returned home. Fishlips was here as well, but a few weeks ago he returned to his home town. Overall I've really spent a lot of time by myself.. I feel like I really benefited a lot more from being here when ReSpOnSe was here, because he's a protoss player as well and we were constantly talking about the game, bouncing ideas and giving advice.
For the rest of the time, I feel like the only real benefit was the sheer amount of time/games I put in. When I was playing from home, I feel like I improved much slower, but that was from lack of discipline. At home there are so many distractions that I don't really have here. I'm very determined to establish some good habits when I return home, so that I can continue to maintain my shape and continue to improve at the rate I have been while I have been here in the team house.
I definitely don't have any intentions of coming back to the team house right now, unless there are going to be more players, and even then, it's not something I even want to think about right now. I think if I go anywhere, I will want to go to Korea.
Miss ya buddy. You should add yourself to that list, you've got just as much if not more dedication than any pro gamer out there. Can't wait to kick it @ Anaheim! Have a safe flight, I'll be praying for ya bub :D
Did you miss anything about the USA in particular at all? Or was it just mostly you're friends and family you missed? I'm interested a little in what the transition to living in another country is like. I would certainly miss my friends and family, but living in a place where you're not familiar with the customs must also be hard as well. I've never really had to live in a place where I feel like an outsider.
