Once again, I would like to state that I know that I'am going to come off as uninformed when my rambling below is read, but I would just like to put my thoughts "out there" for judgement and criticism. I also realise that I don't usually make much sense and that my analogies are more often than not improper, nevertheless, I'm here to learn, not to impress.
Ergo, what should be done is that is us humans should first focus more on our values and basic principals - our core. What good would it do us if we were to colonise Mars if we were all in despair, under the rule of greedy, misanthropic politicians? While we work on our interior, we must not neglect our shell. Maintenance must be there so as to ensure that there is no declination of our exterior, and at best, as we improve and work on our core, our exterior would advance/improve simultaneously.
There however, is something that may prove to be a problem, maybe not a problem, but a challenge instead. Nevertheless when fixed or overcome, it will benefit us greatly. If we were to consider the inventions or innovations that came from technological advancements as a factor of which we would determine the quality of our exterior (the y-axis of the previous graph, posted below)
we realise that the quality of our exterior plays a role in determining the quality of our interior. The term 'computer' will be used very loosely in the next few sentences. It is indubitable that the computer has brought many conveniences to us and improved our way of life. Communication between a party that is separated by an enormous distance was almost impossible ( I actually wrote "impossibly viable". What. ) before the computer and electronical communication. The computer is used to solve many complex calculations and control even more complex systems like the traffic, or a spacecraft. Therefore, since the computer makes our lives so much easier by doing all these things and so much more, surely we can now see, clearly, that our exterior affects our interior.
I took this photo a few days ago and stored it in my Dropbox.
War, is a very 'deep' topic to write about. It is difficult to talk about one aspect of it without going waist-deep in the topic. What is certain about war, is that it creates some long-lasting, hard-hitting effects on a nation. Never have I heard of a war that did not bring about any devastating impacts. The loss of human life is perhaps the worst thing that can happen during a war, be it of a man, woman, or child. When we take into consideration of the fact that we may be the only humans in the entire universe, and that every single one of us is unique and that there was never anyone or will be anyone that is a replica of anyone, then we can truly lament the loss of a friend, relative, or fellow human being.
So beautiful.
In addition to this, there are those who live and toil in suffering. People who are the victims of the greed, intolerance, and irrationality of absurd men. When somebody has lost their loved ones, their friends, maybe even their house, you can might say that he or she has been dealt a fate worse than death. And what is truly unsettling and depressing about this is that there is nothing that can be done to fill the void in the souls of the victims. They will never meet someone that is the same as the ones that were taken away from them. There may be similar ones, but it simply won't be the same. A house may also be rebuilt, its furniture restocked, but inside the house it's an entirely different atmosphere because with the destruction of it, comes the washing away of it's history.
That's it. I hope it makes some sense to somebody other than me :D
Here's a picture of the moon in the 5pm sky.
