EPTMy mind is at the point of melting. I’ve been spending the last hours in thinking limbo, playing the game to end all games. I am of course speaking about League of Legends. That bastarded child of the multiplayer online battle arena genre, aka moba, aka dota. You all know it, you’ve all played it and you’re all ever so slightly ashamed. These are the things we have to live with. It’s a pretty good game though.

Starcraft remains my one true love although I can’t seem to work up enough of a boner to get online and ladder like it’s 1999. All my friends have given up on it, but I am the lone soul stumbling around in the wasteland. I used to be brimming with a fiery passion to improve at the game, working tirelessly every day and night to improve my game.
Of course, then I hit platinum.
Now it seems like everyone’s better than me and the only way I seem to be able to win is to establish a base in their base. It’s a pretty solid strategy overall. I still remember the day I switched from Terran to Protoss. I immediately launched into the ladder and started by stumbling my way through a 4gate. After losing that game in spectacular fashion I channeled my inner TLO and decided it was time to get creative.
So naturally I cannon-rushed.

If that failed to do the trick I would get even more creative and follow it up with a 4gate with +1 upgrades. It was super effective every time. Those were simpler times. Still, I quickly got to grips with my new race, and quickly started thrashing every race except zerg. The lower leagues are really weird when it comes to zerg. It seems like their insistent no-cheese attitude has made them into incredibly strong macro players that are completely oblivious to everything around them, instead choosing to make 60 drones before pool or something silly like that. Well, except for those few times where I actually decided to attack. Those times it seemed like they always had just enough.
So naturally I cannon-rushed some more.
Now my PvZ is flawless.
