Ok so after much procrastination I finally am on the road to being an amateur youtube caster.
I got my fraps going, I got my compression stuff sort of figured out and I have my first video already uploaded although it's really just a skeleton of what I have planned to come.
What I need now is REPLAYS!
So if you've ever wanted someone to cast one of your games and put it on youtube send it to me and I just might.
I do have a few things to ask though. When you send me your replay please include with it some information of what I'm going to be watching, IE: the league, the map, the match up and most importantly how long it is. I'm discovering now that time is gigabytes when it comes to posting youtube videos so if you're going to send me a 40 minute game, at least include with it an explanation of why it'll be worth someone watching.
Also it wouldn't hurt if you included with it any sort of thoughts you might have about the game.
My preferred method for TL users to send me replays is via PMs so it's easy to keep track of and doesn't clutter up the blog responses. Thanks again for all of the support guys.

Because I'd rather people volunteer them to me and be aware of when I post them.
It isn't as though there aren't replays out there I can find but I'd rather cast first people that want to be cast before going and just stealing random replays.
Plus also because I'll be looking for feedback on the videos when I post them, and I'm more likely to get feedback from those being casted.
This was from previous season, but it was a pretty funny game from Playhem, me vs ePGimix. He is current #28 GM on NA, was higher before . It's a special tactics type build that my roommate and I at the time did (both GM lol, fun starcraft room). http://www.sc2replays.eu/show-replay-12411-0-epgimix_t_-vs-revaps_p.html

I thank you sir!
I'll repost the video probably in this blog, and I'll PM you a link personally. No timeline for when it'll be done though, since it is MLG weekend.
The replays are long games, short games, wins and losses. The games are gm level I added some games with famous names like me vs hasuobs, dragon, merz, lzgamer, attero etc. to help you get recognition.
I sadly don't have so many tough as I don't save often
I've got a few gems for you, I use very interesting tactics. I kind of developed my own style of protoss I am only diamond, but a few of these are against masters players. Some BM and the game on Shakurus was particularly good if I recal correctly. One of the games vs terran on shattered was really good as well. You should find all the games very entertaining and interesting, ENJOY! (I use shield upgrades a lot too, they are very good when you use air units and cannons as much as I do.)

No to the first, of course to the second.
The simple reason no to the 2v2 is because I honestly have no idea how i would go about casting that. Everything I know about casting comes from watching and listening to 1v1s being cast. I suppose I could make an effort to learn to cast team games but it isn't something I'm even remotely familiar with.

Right now I only have my first test video which is not of the quality I want to brag about.
When I have videos to share the link will be available in this blog. There isn't any point posting my youtube channel because there's nothing on it yet.
This is a video cast more to help put the spotlight on the 6m 1hyg trend than anything else, working on sifting through some of the replays you guys have sent me, I really appreciate it.
And yes I know, my observing needs work, I have a tendency to jerk the camera around. I'm working on getting better at that.
You have a lot of "dead" time in your cast, if you're not doing play-by-play and there isn't too much going on, go a little more into analysis. You don't have to talk EVERY SECOND but there shouldn't be that much dead time.

As I've mentioned already. I'm still getting accustomed to solo casting, I know there's dead time in the cast and I'd like to work on that.

Tell me if it suits you :3
I wasn't able to open that file, you'll have to give me a little bit of an explanation for how that works.

In any case, good luck with your casting! I bet soon you will have more replays than you know what to do with, everyone loves to show off
haha, as long as i know that it's not a serious game i can put it in the title.
there's definitely an audience for both kinds of games. I need all types to expand my channel's audience.
New video is up. Thanks a lot to Crazyfirefox for the replay.
I didn't actually realize how many silly mistakes I made until watching the cast. Also the 1 colossus move out is something I got from White-ra, I noticed that he was always aggressive (even if it was just clearing watch towers); so when I looked at all of my fast colossus games I noticed that I had a small army advantage after I got the first Colossus out, so now every time I get 1 colossus out in PvT I do some pressure against the Terran, though most of the time it's just posturing--though in that game I felt that I could break the third, so I did.

Hey Firefox, I wouldn't worry too much about counting your mistakes, we all make them which is why we aren't all Grandmaster's.
The collosus move out you did was actually very risky, if the Terran had better control he could have punished you for it by sniping down the Collosus and then stimming away. That isn't what happened though so it turned out well, but in my mind, 1 collosus is very similar to one siege tank. Sure it can do its job but they are much much more effective when in groups.

I have zipped it so you have to unpack it - winzip or 7zip works fine :3
If you think that game was strange you should see the shakurus game. Towards the end I have so many hero units with 20+ kills. BTW your casting is good, I watched them all GJ!
Vindicast #5 incoming, I'm compressing it now it should be uploaded later tonight.
It's been quite a busy last week and a half for me, especially considering I watched the entirety of IPL4 last weekend. Glad to be back to casting a few games.
I'm still looking for any feedback I can get, I got some rather harsh critique I felt from a couple friends of mine not long back but I've taken into consideration what they've said and hopefully there should be fewer "uhhs" and "ummms" in this cast.
So far with these videos I had been using a free trial version of DivX Pro in order to compress and resize my videos. Once the trial ran out I found myself unable to compress any new videos until I could figure out some other way to resize them. Turns out you don't need DivX Pro to do it and you can save some money by just using the resizing and cropping tool in Virtual Dub.
It's not quite so obvious to use though because it's hidden under filters, but once I figured it out I was able to manually resize the videos which saved me from having to purchase the full version of DivX Pro which would have cost me 30 bucks. :D
Would you be interested in casting an 18-minute long Gold level replay, on Cloud Kingdom? I understand that neither of us played very well so it's twice the length it should have been, but + Show Spoiler +
Not particularly pleased with myself as I don't feel like my casting has improved as much as I'd hoped it would over the last video but I figure if I keep at this I'll continue to improve. Feedback is still appreciated as are any and all replay submissions.
Vindicast #7 Inc. I'm excited to announce that this game is from TLO's replay pack!
This was the first game that I really found difficult to cast simply because of the amount of stuff going on at one time, I made a few mistakes, but those are the kind of mistakes I can live with right now simply because I'm not used to casting a game of this calibre. Fun fun!
Thanks to twitch being my new way that I put together these casts I can put up more casts in the same amount of time it took to do them before because now I don't need to decompress them anymore. Also the addition of the webcam imo is a big improvement.
Hey man I just watched the game of me you casted (#5) which I submitted a while ago but didn't know and didn't look for at the time. That casting wasn't too terrible even back then so keep it up ! I can send you a lot of replays once I get my computer back. Also I'm so bad
