I picked Terran to ladder with, taking a break from my Zerg, which wasn't as refined.
My first game on SEA: TvT in the Diamond League
+ Show Spoiler +
The first game was a TvT on Shakuras Plateau. Okay, good map for me and him, might want to go mech depending on what I scout. I spawned in the top left, he spawned in the bottom right. I did a barracks scout, anxious to know whether gas would be taken by him, since I was planning to go mech, I wanted to know whether he would be getting gas, or would be staying marine heavy for most of the early game.
My scv went up his ramp, and into his main. I saw a barracks and gas at 13, okay all good, nothing cheesy going on. I opened the same and went for a factory, getting my 2nd gas soon after and preparing for a 4 hellion 8 marine drop. I mistimed my reactor on my barracks however, and thus also delayed the ability for me to get 8 marines and put on aggression. "No problem", I said to myself. I scanned his main and saw 3 barracks, one with a tech lab, researching combat shields I assume. His factory was very badly delayed, so I took advantage of this and went for a 1 medivac drop with 2 hellions and 4 marines, and followed up with another drop with the same number of units as soon as my second medivac finished. I dropped my hellions into his main and to my surprise, he was mining from 2 gas geysers. I saw no factory, no engineering bay and only one tech lab, why in the world would he get 2 refineries if he isn't going to get any tech? This made me feel warry of a proxy starport, but I quickly shook it off my mind and proceeded to target down each scv. My opponent, panicked, so I assume, immediately pulled all of his workers away and circled them around a newly built factory with a tech lab. Luckily for him, his siege tank popped out in time.
Now, one would expect a good diamond league player to split his scvs, minimising splash damage from the hellions, or at least repair the tank that was to be attacked by the marines.
NOPE, NONE OF THAT. INSTEAD, HE CIRCLED HIS SCVS AROUND HIS PRODUCTION BUILDINGS, LINING THEM UP PERFECTLY FOR MY HELLIONS TO MASSACRE EVERYTHING. I selected my second medivac and sent it back home, not wanting to commit as I had already done a stupidly huge amount of damage.
I got my 2nd base up and as soon as I pressed that b button to morph it into an orbital command, he left, without saying a word.

Now, I wasn't surprised that he didn't split his scvs, most people don't know how to do it. What shocked me was the fact that while my hellions and marines were in his base slaughtering his worker line, HE HAD ONLY ONE SIEGE TANK DEFENDING HIS WORKERS, AND ALL OF HIS MARINES WERE IN HIS NATURAL DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I would have assumed that someone in Diamond league would have the multitasking ability to not just run away his workers, but also select his units to defend them.
That wasn't the only thing that baffled me. What was even more shocking was the fact that he was running his workers, IN A LINE, the whole time, he had only his workers selected, no other unit was selected, no units were made while he was under pressure.
One would think that a Diamond player would be able to handle simple pressure like that, but it never happened... Oh god, my brain.
This single game interested me about the state of the SEA server and how the metagame functions on it, I went on to play more games. I will, however, stop here for now and continue this in a different blog post, which will include stories of more games(more than 1 game), some of which I lost, and others, won. I have to stop for now since I am suffering from a headache, that I might or might have not gotten from playing on the SEA server.
And, yes, I am masters on the US server, I won't give a link to my account page because It shares the same name of a reddit account which has gotten numerous bashings. I am a very sensitive and insecure person, unfortunately.

I will include screenshots from the games in future blog posts for those who request, but not the replays themselves since I would like to keep the name of my account to myself
Also, I am pretty new to this blogging thing, I hope I'm doing it right
