Hello and welcome to the Zeo & Xyo games blog.
Here I will be posting out games in packets and our rankings currently.
About us: We are best friends and we both love starcraft, we have both had the game for about a year but we have recently gotten back into the game. Both of us play 1v1 but we love to play 2v2 with each other.
We are currently a bronze league 2v2 team. We play normally on weekends where we get sometimes 20 games in. We play more then what I post here but thats because I go over ti his house and play lots where I don't have the replay files.
If you have ANY tips for us or reccomendations please let us know. We can use all the help we can get. Feel also free free to use these replays however you like.

I hope you enjoy and feedback is always appreciated!

i´d like this kind of concept to gather feedback - going to have look whenever I find some freetime - keep it up!

If you want people to give you feedback on your games you might try posting some analysis of your own. Just posting a replay pack and expecting people to comb through them and tell you how to improve seems kind of lazy.

I started to write feedback for each game but there's much larger concepts you need to get first.
You have two options to the glory of master league:
Option 1 (easy way) + Show Spoiler +Pick a cheese and stick with it. Do it every game and micro your hearts out.
Option 2 (hard way) + Show Spoiler +I would suggest picking a single midgame composition and sticking with it no matter what. Make it work in every game. Any composition will work well into diamond league 2v2. Beyond that you just need to make sure it's well rounded (you've got cloak detection and anti air and splash damage). Eventually figure out deviations for the edge cases where it doesn't work. Mass roach/stalker or zealot/marines is good enough to stomp a majority of people if you're making workers whenever you can and keeping your money low by massing the units you pick.
Pick an opening build that fits your selected composition and stick with it. In various games I saw a pylon on 8 and no chrono on probes, a pylon AND gas on 7 and then chrono on probes, and pylon on 10 with chrono on the 10th probe. Get into the habit of making workers until you have 1 supply left, then making the overlord/pylon/depot, then making the next worker. Beyond that point your build needs to be tight (keeping your money low and always making workers) and lead you to the tech you need to make the units you want.
Just fair warning that 2v2 is full of rushes and cheese (see option 1). I see you're already (very wisely) scouting and making decisions based on what you see. But try to deviate as little as necessary to defend (and help your ally defend) whatever cheese you scout. Remember you don't need to defend the cheese alone - you only have to minimize damage until your ally gets there, then you can fight it and beat it together.
I think honestly just a metric ton of more games is the best thing you can do for yourself. Always push yourself to be making workers when you can and keeping your money low. Also obvious things like don't get supply blocked and keep your macro energy low (queen/orbital/nexus energy) If you have a midgame composition in mind and a tight opening build, there isn't anything you can't defeat with experience and slight adjustments - but that takes a lot of games.

option 3
pressure builds.
Me (protoss) him terran
1 gate fe instead off of 10 pylon 10 gate instead of chroning warpgates i chrono zealot production
he goes 1rax concussive shell. hit at about 3 minutes i think with 2-3 zealots and a marader with concussive shell, more units on the way.(60% of winning the game outright here)
if there is an inbase expo i take it. while he puts up bunkers if we scout all in. This is only done when no zergs are present.

Thank you so much for feedback, this weekend will be a big weekend for us so I will try to try out strategies as mentioned above. Thanks for all the positive feedback.
Replies:
@fazte Thanks! Let me know if theres anything you find!
@Alphonsse Well, when you say analyst of my own do you mean posting casting it in a video or do you mean posting a game a telling what happened and asking for what I could improve on! Thanks for the feedback anyways!
@Toboe Thank you very much. (First point) Yes, we have thought about cheese and some of our later games we have played a styler where one macros and one battles. We have found I micro better then him and he likes to turtle in the beginning. It was a cheese of mass marines for 2 players from racks with reactors. He would keep the steady flow of units then I would micro them and kill off the opponents before they got the appropriate counter.(Second point) Thanks for the tactic, it is true, I struggle more then Zeo on the opening game because I find myself more going for fastest army I can get as he likes to take his time. I see that I do vary a lot on my basic timings but do my other timings look good? Am I getting enough tech? Thats what I am worried about a lot as well. Thanks for the tip on the mid-game. I will look at some of my own games and find some strategies that work for the mid game. Thanks for your awesome feedback! And don't worry, there will be lots more games.
@Mysterymeat1 Thanks, I will look into those types of builds as trying to get the game over and won and onto the next game. Is that a good way to go or should i let the games drift into a longer game and get more secure. Thanks for feedback!

rushing strats will get u straight to masters. u cant play 2v2 like a 1v1 game.
If any of u are zerg, go 10 pool 10 gas 10 overlord with 100 gas for speed and pump lings. ur partner should be a T or P to support u while u buy time. that's my experience in going to masters in 2v2

More replies~
@leeoku But is that really the most fun way to play 2v2? I would really like to enjoy the game with each other even if it isn't perfect. I don't really like the idea of cheesing my way up as its not the masters league i'm going for, its for getting better at playing 2v2. Then, once i'm in masters when people defend they will destroy us, making it no longer fun. Thanks for replying anyways!
