One year ago today I joined this fine website teamliquid.net. I have over 5,000 posts on here. I've been on forums for a long time, used to run some. But I've never posted as much as I do here. I have been on an Indiana Pacers forum for years and only have 4,000 there. There is just something about this place, this game, its like crack. I watch way more sc2 than anyone probably should. I almost always have a stream open when I am able to. I blame qxc for this too. He was streaming a ton right before I signed up here. Scan the island my friends.
I remember getting sucked into the competitive scene most when Jinro was making his GSL semi-finals runs. I was staying up all night watching him. I'm smiling just thinking about how sick that was to witness. And then came TSL3. That was just special. TL put on a hell of a tournament.
There have been so many awesome moments in the last year. Seeing MLG just improve event after event was awesome. MMA MMA MMA chants rocking Columbus. I AM NADA in Raleigh. Huk winning in Orlando. DreamHack having an epic crowd in an Arena, TL winning both of them. IPL hosting an event in a casino! Puma vs MC season one NASL finals is still one of my favorite series. And who can forget GSL Finals at Blizzcon. That shit was ridiculous. 20,000+ people, in the USA watching sc2. Fuck. Yeah.
I can't wait to see what this year has in store. I'm pumped for the MLG Winter Arena. I am happily spending the $20 on it, definitely worth it in my eyes. I have very high expectations for this event. I can't wait to see what the Championship events are like. Also, IPL4, in Vegas? So awesome. I'm sure IEM World Championship will be sick too. The player line up is pretty exciting. I'm sure DH will put on kick ass events as usual. And GSL will keep rocking it too.
I guess thats all. Can't believe its been a year. Can't wait to see what everyone has in store for us this year. Ok, now I gotta go watch MLG.

Congrats! And I completely understand what you mean. I've only started out compared to most on here, but I will eventually work my way up. I have way more posts on The Flat Earth Society forums and GotFrag than I do here :D

I feel the same way, Teamliquid opened my eyes to something truely beautiful.
I owe it all to Teamliquid, I wasn't one of the people who got into Sc2 from Day9 or Husky. I got into this game because of Teamliquid.net, the community is so great.
People really don't understand how lucky we are to have these forums, there really is no equivilant when it comes to other games, especially League of Legends.
