I cannot play TvZ. The matchup just seems impossible for me right now. I'm trying to get better but I lose so much and it makes me really mad. I cannot deal with infestor ling for the life of me. I have no idea how to engage their army, and the (according to zergs) I win unit(ghosts) don't do much either. I have pretty good builds, but I always want to go to the lategame which is basically a loss for me. They get on 4+ bases and put up spines everywhere, and then just sit with broodlords/ultras and infestors with ling support. I can snipe all their high tech units, but I usually don't have enough left over army to deal with the 100+ lings they remax with.
When ghosts get nerfed I have no idea what I'm going to do besides all in. Those korean terrans make it seem so damn easy, but whenever I play vs. Z I get steamrolled. TvZ should probably be my best matchup because I play about half of my matches vs. Z on the ladder, but it's not even close. I used to complain about TvP but then I got better with my unit control and I can beat the death ball pretty easily now. Against zerg, it seems like no matter how good my unit control is, they always have enough lings and infestors to just plow through anything. I know how much you people hate these kind of blogs, but I really needed to vent. I'm going to play a lot tomorrow and maybe I'll figure something out.

sorry man. thats how i feel zvp.
when they are using infestor BL they are really immobile so use them drops. ravens are also amazing against BL. I know this isnt strategy forum but idk, something to think about.

you cant let a zerg sit there and drone up otherwise it gg for you. I like to drop a bunker with my scout, rally my first 2 rines to the bunker. If hes bad he will let the bunker finish. If not he will take off drones to attack it (stops minning time and allows for mistakes). While this is happening, im making way for my next attack which is reactored hellion. The goal is to kill as many drones as possible. After 6 hellions I 3 rax, with starport. Get + 1 attack combat shields and stim and do a 2 medivac drop as soon as possible in the main (before mutas around 10-30ish). When sending the medivacs i like to send a few rines up the main ramp to deter him from the drop. From here on out, i have done massive damage to his economy and keep dropping 2 places at once while getting my third and seige tanks. If he still survives, continue on with your late game, ghost tech or whatever. Goodluck!

You need to expand faster, or go with dedicated all in playstyles.
You can't 'sit back and go for the late game' while giving the zerg 2+ more bases than you.
|
pretty much sounds like your main problems are macro and multitasking.
|
Sounds like you need to work on your entire attitude towards TvZ. You gotta always be in the Zerg's face to really have a chance
|
Just allin, it's what Blizzard wants Terrans to do apparently anyways.

If the Zerg is adopting a fairly passive midgame attitude, you need to pressure them with very quick expansion patterns coupled with constant harass. When I say constant harass I mean queue drop after drop after drop into his expansions, snipe tech buildings and queens, make sure that he's punished for having 1a syndrome. If you do these things, you should arrive at a time in the late game when you have enough snipe to kill off whatever piddling tier 3 units he has easily, then carefully push through the map to end the game. If you adopt this style, your defense needs to be impeccable so as to stop any harassment, counter attack, or all-in.
Essentially the logic is: the more aggressive you are, the more opportunities you're giving him to make mistakes, and because you've practiced the ways you'll be aggressive, things will be going exactly how you want them to, and not how he wants them to. This is all dependent on your ability to multitask effectively, which comes from remembering what you need to do and when, which comes from dedicated practice of each thing separate of the others. Remember that there are no shortcuts.
