Anyway I've been doing more painting, and my usual stuff is fully explained by my research day-job which leads to me being a big nerd, so I really wanted to try some new things. So I challenged myself: 3 normal 'arts', no nerdy stuff.
It was pretty interesting and I feel like I learned a lot, I did a still life, a portrait and a landscape. The still life was a psychedelically vibrant apple, I made a video of the process, hope everyone likes it (music by YouTube's resident monkey pianist).
The landscape was taken directly from a photo I took in Sweden, at Skansen national park, which had beautiful light that I tried to recreate, took about 6 or 7 hours:
That's 5 different colours of paint there.
Lastly the portrait, I chose to try and paint Miranda Kerr. The likeness is a bit off, she looked more like a cross between Olivia Wilde and Angelina Jolie for most of the process, but I'm happy with the result:
She looks somewhat ...alien in the mirror. I'm not sure if the real Miss. Kerr does also, I'll be sure to check if I ever meet her.

Next challenge: house painting. My room needs a new coat of eggshell white.
Bye for now guys,
