So I love this game, I love SC2, the pros, the drama, playing it. I am a (or was) Diamond level protoss player, and I love playing as protoss, the mechanics, everything. I love to macro, I love taking multiple basis, blinking in and out of bases, doing storm drops, harassing, everything, I just love it. The absolute bane of my existence is PvP, I fucking HATE that god damn match up!
PvZ is my strongest, so much to offer, I love it. I regularly beat mid masters in PvZ, I just feel I have a deep understanding for it, I and either 2 base, 3-4+ base and go into hard core macro mode, it is just a super fun match up in my opinion.
PvT I like, I can beat high diamond low masters on a regular basis. My favorite this is FE into collosus (make sure they see) and after our first engagement and what not, when I see they are committing to my collos with vikings, I do a HARD tech switch into chargelot archon w/ storm. Just a fun match up that you can do alot with.
PvP, the worst thing for me. It just comes down to collosus wars in the end, first man to get 4-5 collos while keeping up with there opponents in upgrades wins. Plus the openings are just retarded, if you go for an expansion and they decide to all in, it is insanely hard to hard off and you usually lose. I can beat high diamonds sometimes, I can lose to mid golds. This is the match up that I believe got me demoted. My w/l ratio is 14% for PvP. Sometimes after getting 5-6 PvP's in a row I would go on a massive tilt that would effect my other match ups
I have been heavily considering switching to terran for awhile now just based on the fact that I can macro in all match ups. I was considering zerg, and played that for awhile, but I really dislike ZvZ also. So what do you fine people of TL think of this, should I switch? Should I duke it out and try to really work on my PvP? Will it ever get better?
TL;DR I have PvP so much I'm thinking of switching to terran just so I can always play a macro game. Thoughts?

I dunno, I'm of the opinion that every race experiences all ins. I think one of your issues is that you like to play macro games so much that you go for expansions in PvP, which is almost always a death sentence. That matchup is literally just a bevvy of 1-base all ins, and I think that you might have to cope with that. A lot of pros are talking about how PvP is finally evolving, and perhaps they're a better resource on the subject than anyone.

Switch to Korean if possible. Blizzard can't nerf them so they are reliable long term.

Don't switch to Terran; TvT is easily the most frustrating match up. Yeah, you get to macro, but Tank vs Tank battles are easily the most frustrating/coinflippy thing in the game.
Just focus on why you lose in PvP and practice it hard. Once you get to a liveable win rate the game just feels that much better.

My advice is to go ahead and try terran. You've already been demoted, so might as well try something new.

Playing long macro games against protoss and zerg isnt easy. as terran, mainly vP because fighting colossus templar archon chargelot deathballs is really hard. Do whatever you want, try it out, maybe you'll learn to like it.

My advice or pvp:
Learn build orders to start with, robo, blink, robo blink, robo Fast collosis, Phoenix play..
Once you know builds, they really open your eyes as to what units you can have out at specific times. When blink finishes, the timing a collosis comes out, or timing an immortal comes out if ur obs sees blink.
Then, you can start deviating from these based on your 'feel' for the game. 4 gate gets less prevalent as you get into higher leagues because it's easy to stop. I sometimes 1 gate twilight into 3 g, or 2 g robo twi, or blah I don't even know I just do what I feel like but makes sure I have units to stop anything coming.
When you get a feel for pvp it can be really fun, u just gotta understand it a bit and not fail micro

I'd give terran a try. If you stick with terran, then yay another T (we're an endangered species outside of korea).
If you don't like it you can at least have a new perspective and appreciation of your race / terran too.

I've played Protoss since I was 12 (I'm 23). More than once in Sc2 I have felt hopeless as a Protoss. But I love their heroes and lore so I'll never give up! Never Surrender! I do enjoy laddering as Random occasionally though and in team games race is irrelevant for me, I think this keeps the game enjoyable. Also consider finding some other Protoss players you wouldn't mind doing customs with.
