Ok, so lately, I've been procrastinating...like a lot. I have 3 projects for school that are due this week, one that's due tomorrow, and I'm putting it off to the very last minute, and even then I'm questioning whether or not I'm actually going to do it or not.
But worse than procrastinating school work, I haven't been laddering because...well...I've some had some bad experiences with terran players, so I've been putting it off with other games like skyrim and battle field 3. I'm a protoss player if anyone's interested.
So I suppose I should explain my situation with the laddering thing, I'm a silver league player...yes I know, quite an achievement. What I'm having trouble with, is actually memorizing at least 1 strategy for each match up. Now with zerg, I'm pretty decent, I have my forge fast expand that works 50% of the time, I say 50% because 1 base roach is a bitch, and I want to try out something I just heard about, put a few cannons in the zerg natural to stop from expanding. Now the problem I'm really having is the fucking terran bio ball. I've gone really quick high templar, now don't get me wrong, high templar are really good at this, it's just that...I can only make so many, and they don't start with 75 energy.
(Made a new paragraph to avoid blob of text) I can't seem to find anything that will work for me, because apparently I'm even doing my fast high temp wrong. If I could just get past the early game where the terran out masses me by so fucking much, I'd probably fair well, but it's just the early game I'm having issues with.
Now I would ask my friend in platinum, and my other friend who is in silver, who is a bit better than me, but my pride's to large to do that, so I'll ask random strangers. What are some good PvZ and PvT...my PvP is alright, Immortal, stalker, colossus FTW :D.
But back to the main point, I'm writing this blog to procrastinate away from writing my paper...so...ya. God...I really need to stop procrastinating, but procrastinating is so much fun. If anyone actually knows a way to stop procrastinating, that would be great.

I hear you man, it's 3.30 AM here and I just finished my presentation for tomorrow.
And I didn't study for it, fuck yeah.
Procrastination's a bitch indeed.

It just gets worse and worse with gaming/school.
Just finished college, and trust me its worth sticking it out. I don't have time to game on the weekdays, however getting together with some buds on the weekends and gaming with some beer is good enough.
Get your education its number 1 priority.

I'm avoiding doing one of my 2 different homework assignments, my research, and posting my student's grades and am considering doing so by staying up all night watching Aliens, so I'm right there with you.
As for pvt: fast ht are nice, but you have to be confident in actually killing an army. Storm alone won't do the dps needed to finish off a competent terran controlling bio as he will just run out of it or send small groups ahead to kill the templar. If your storms don't kill off units, it is just a matter of time till they heal up and come back with greater numbers. I'd suggest fast upgrades and chargelots as the simplest answer. chargelot/ht is a cheap composition, so you can really mass it and expand quickly. The drawback here is that your anti air kinda sucks. If your minimap awareness is bad, you'll get dropped and have bases/tech sniped off. Stalkers with blink and templars with feedback are the best way to deal with this. I'd offer you one my reps at masters, but you could find plenty of better ones of pros.
Try to have double forges and twilight council off 2 base with constant chronoboosts on all of them. Use sentries early on to delay an engagement and try to keep some sentries into the late game. It is rarely worth it to warp in sentries over ht later on, but if you can just retain some from the early game the shield and ff are amazing in added dps reduction and pinning down a bio ball to be killed.

make probes dude. thats all you need to know to get out of lower leagues. make probes which get you money which gets you a bigger army than the other guy. dont stop making those probes man. unit composition is a lesson for diamonds trying to become masters.

iono. i love doing things last minute. it feels like my back is against a raging river and a doom army is coming to kill me. so my heart rate jumps up and my adrenaline is flowing, and I attack that paper like there is no tomorrow.
@op LOL, i love how u said what is worse than doing 3 projects last minute is not laddering. haha i love ur priorities

I'm avoiding to write my bachelor's thesis right now, which is due next monday. Still gonna make it, just bragging how I procrastinate harder than you.
But here's a little food for thought: Like the guy before said, it is probably a macro problem (i.e. not building enough probes, or not having enough unit producing structures to spend all that money you've accumulated).. To determine that, it would help if you just checked some numbers:
How many workers did you build on average in your last ten ladder games that went for over 15 minutes? Below 50? Bad. Hotkey your nexuses and remember to build more.
How high was your Spending quotient (SQ) in your last games? (Find out at http://acslayer.webs.com/ ) Below 40 on average? Bad. Resources are piling up. Need to build more unit producing structures.
When was the last time you watched a Day9 Daily, especially a protoss-themed Newbie Tuesday? More than months ago or never? Bad. Do it.

Dude. Regarding procrastination: slowly grow a fuckin pyramide of 'debts' so that more and more important things arise every day, and you start fixing smaller issues to avoid dealing with the new ones. Doesn't work well for me so far, but helps to certain degree... :D
Regarding SC2 - dude, ctrl+5 your Nexus, 5e every ~10 real-life seconds, 5c-click it every ~half-minute. Just do it every goddamned game till you build 30 workers per base and have no idle chrono. Shift-5 new Nexuses and 5ee/5cc same way. That's it. After that just remember how much stuff you can produce with X base economy and chrono everything except gateways. And hotkey forges. My fav is 7 (77, 5c click, 5c click the second forge, 11 back to the micro)
Once you get your macro going, learn to scout, remember what buildings and units and gases and how fast you saw, what happened then, blah blah. You'll learn to micro in PvP, learn to macro in PvZ, learn to hold shitload of agression in PvT. And screw HTs, in silver just 2 base Collosus with delayed HT works fine.
If you are a masochist (i.e. want to learn to roll PvT ASAP), learn 1 gate FE till you stop dieing too early too often. Then any build will feel so slow and safe, mmm...

To win PvT in SC2 all you need is to build HTs and observers, keep the observers with your main army and the HTs separated from the main army, protected by it, gg, you will never lose another PvT vs players below Diamond.
To win vs procrastination you need the power of will. Think about it, what would be the most profitable: do what should be done now or later?
