Those old-school enough to remember AKA Cult Toons on Cartoon Network now have an idea of what I'm talking about
starting at about 2:00
So it's like this .. you take a movie or cartoon right, and then you add small interludes from other movies/cartoons which fit with the immediate topic of a particular scene. That way you disrupt a dialog for example and satirically insert something like a ludicrous laugh to complement a weird moment in the movie/cartoon or add a funny one-liner from a Arnold Schwarzenegger for example and thus create a new kind of funny dynamic without actually compromising the plot of the original.
Sort of a remix but it's more. Its taking the static chronological dimension of one movie and crossing it with endless possibilities of awesome (hollywood golden moments)
TL:DR: I'm looking for something that could be described as Hollywood Golden Moments (like say nicolas cage losing his shit: (...) )
(...) put into a context other than the original movie (into that of another movie)
Why this isn't really legal .. because people who mix these don't own the copyright to the material (which is often times pirated too), which also means you won't be finding this kind of stuff on youtube for example.
AKA Cult Toons did what they did because they had cartoon network's permission .. but for our purposes someone would have to have the permission of all the movies he gets his samples from, which would result in extreme limitation for the extent of such creative endeavors.
