EPTAnyways, I've always loved the album The Turn of a Friendly Card by Alan Parsons Project. Today, while listening, I came across a very strange sound. I know that almost all of this album was made by synthesizer, but it is a very strange, very cool sound. This sound occurs at about 10:30 in this video
Anyways, I have been in band for 8 years and listened to my share of Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, and Johnny Cash to know that the sound is not quite that of a harmonica. It seems to me that they spliced the timbre of the harmonica into the sound of bagpipes(?), or something along those lines. In any case, I think this sound is really worth hearing, as is the rest of the album. If anyone knows what or how the sound was made, I'd love to know.
