Hello guys, from my previous blog posts, I've been working very hard on my macro from 3 rax aggression as mentioned in the thread "Accelerated learning for low/mid level terrans"
It's a basic 3 rax stim timing push that I've been using for every game to get me up to Silver from bronze, at silver, it simply just stops working. I've been having trouble with it for every single matchup.
For TvT, the opponent simply goes a bunch of tanks, and turtle deep inside his base, there goes my 3 rax aggression.
TvP, this is the only matchup which the 3 rax works against pretty decently, I have very little problems with TvP, unless the opponent goes for a bunch of cannons and void rays. (Happens pretty often too)
TvZ, opponent just gets a whole bunch of zerglings to nullify my entire army after I pushed out. If I keep the zerg contained, mutas just pop out and rape my entire base, and since the build is heavily marauder based, I got only a handful of marines to counter. If I were to counter attack, it simply destroys my entire army with more zerglings too.
Considering that I'm already in Silver and not Bronze, any other builds/openings that I should be learning other than the 3 rax? I read on a few threads that to establish oneself in Silver league, I gotta learn more macro oriented builds.
I tried learning the reaper expand, but perhaps I'm doing it wrong because my minerals simply just float at 1k+ after I expand without much production.
There's this other FE build from Liquidpedia called the 3 bunker expand, I could pull that off pretty well, but I wonder why is it not commonly used...
The problem for me now is, I don't know how to carry on from the FE or after any openings that I do.
Sorry that I got no replays to post this time, I forgot to save it and when I looked into the folder it wasn't autosaved as well... I'll post up a few replays of my games soon...
I'll be flying overseas from now till 17th Dec though. (I don't think any of you reading my TL blog would care about this)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First off I'll just say the obvious: you're in silver, just work on macro, then you can a-move and pretty much always win. Don't miss depots, constantly produce units, constantly produce scvs etc...But putting that aside, I know exactly what you mean, here's some advice:
So now you're at a point where you need to know what to do after your 3 rax doesn't kill the opponent outright:
The answer is to take your expansion (which i assume you do) and don't try and press your advantage by going for a killing blow - eg, if it is TvT and your opponent has tanks at the top of his ramp, it's probably not a good idea to run up and try to kill him. Instead, tech toward tanks yourself (or whatever you want) so that when he finally moves out you can crush him.
Essentially, if your opening (in this case, 3 rax) has given you an advantage (in this case, map control and an expansion), then use that advantage to get more ahead - ie, tech and/or take more expansions. Tech is usually the good option here (assuming you're already a base ahead), as for your opponent to push out, they will need tech of their own - ie tanks, banelings/mutas, immortals/collosus. Don't take any big risks, just focus on your macro and keep an eye out for harassment or allins as it is often the only way for your opponent to get back into the game.
Day[9] did a podcast on this actually... http://www.teamliquid.net/staff/zatic/Day90004HOP1WinWithAdvantage.mp3
1. Have a plan (ie what you're teching to, how many bases you want compared to your opponent...) 2. Scout every expansion on the map 3. Don't try to win immediately with a big attack (unless you know you can) 4. Protect yourself from harassment, don't harass (you risk losing your advantage if your harassment gets shut down)
Hope it helps!

Thanks for the advice HickleStine! I'll definitely try out what you mentioned above. That was very useful information that you provided.

No problem - I have often felt the same way in my play, and this advice is valid whether you're 3 raxing or doing a midgame timing push or turtling or in the late late game or pretty much anything at all. Glad to be of help!
