I think you should just chill out man. And quit being so full of yourself. You handicap yourself when you put down other people (which, essentially, you're doing when you call everyone fucking stupid) because you refuse to look at a situation the same way as someone else and think they're dumb when they might have a much better reasoning than you. That's narrowminded and dumb in my opinion. But yeah, just chill bro btw, this blog post made me laugh. just throwing that out there. | ||

Bad - yeah, you probably aren't as smart as you think. If you were really smart your guidance counselor wouldn't have been so eager to steer you towards Earth Science (hint, don't put that on your resume). You might actually be smarter than your teachers, but sadly you'd be surprised how many smart people weren't enticed into the glamorous world of teaching high school. If you find any gems at your high school, then they are awesome and they are actually sacrificing a lot in the hopes of making a difference in your life TL;DR - keep writing, stay away from science, gl hf. | ||

Here's some news for you. For the problems that you describe, university/colleges are worse. Most of your teachers don't give a crap about you and are only teaching because it's a requirement to keep the grant money to further their research. The highly regarded teachers are highly regarded because of their publications & research, not because they know what the heck they're doing in a classroom. The ones with the doctorates are usually worse teachers than the ones without it. The ones that do care about teaching don't last long because they're putting their efforts towards that instead of publishing and so they wind up getting sacked after a couple of years. One of the first things you realize when you get out into the "real world" is that you really don't know much of anything and that what little I do know is pretty specialized with a very narrow scope. Looking back, school feels like it's just there to make you learn how to learn and to give you the foundation on which you'll build a career. To put it metaphorically, the entirety of kindergarten through college is a microcosm in which they're teaching you the basics like writing & counting so that you're ready to learn what you'll actually need for the rest of your education As Socrates once said... "If I claim to be a wise man, it surely means that I don't know.". | ||

But i'm really smart. I got a 1930 on my most recent SAT. I only know one other person at my school who got a higher score, and she did better on the writing, but without writing, I beat her by a mile because life doesn't require writing. I don't know what to say man LOLLLLLLL, if you came anywhere near my school you would be instantly humbled. Don't tell me life doesn't need writing, that was the only section I got 800 on  . | ||
