It's day 2 of me being in the gold league and I just got off work so I didnt get to play as much as Id want to today, but starting to play now. I am going to try to play as much as I can this week since I am off for the next 4 days! woot woot!

We'll the normal ZvZ baneling micro wars, I didnt fare so hot this game and ended up losing a lot of drones and by then I decided to just GG. Hopefully I can get some more games in where I don't lose! lol

Pretty straight forward, I did my mass ling infestor with a tough of muta and took the game pretty fairly simple. I do fine vs terrans who don't put pressure on me ( obviously) so that's something that will make it a challenge once they start to be more active. One question I have is why Terrans auto go turrets without scanning my base to see I have muta or not. I could simply go something like ling infestor and not get a single muta and they just wasted a bunch of resources. I obviously get mutas to do some harass as well as scouting information, pick off tanks and all the good stuff, but I never get a critical mass of them to do any real game changing damage, id rather just mass lings and infestors.

I love a good baneling war. I hate losing them, and good thing I pulled off another win

He got greedy and went for a fast 3rd but he didnt have a secure second either. I took advantage of that and kept up good pressure
. I knew I needed my natural up or else i wouldn't be able to produce as much as him, and I managed to get mine up without any trouble. He pulled a lot of drones to fight at one point, I just wish i had 2-3 more banelings and POP goes his eco, but didnt really do a lot of damage with the 2-3 I had, oh well, saved me time to get more units. I need to work on spending my money, Idk how to tho lol. I guess macro hatch and upgrades, teching works as well, just hard to spend all your money when you just want to go lings.

I played bad, Did not drone ahrd at all, I could have done a lot better then I did. I always get nervous playing toss, like I never know whats up, I need to work on it the most I think, My ZvZ is pretty good and my ZvT does alright, but my ZvP isnt good enough at all, and I wish I played better since he was a plat. I'm already going against platinum's so I am happy about that, now if only I could win vs them and get another promotion then Id be pretty darn happy!

ZvZ Started off as usual, A baneling war, he transitioned into Roach, I went muta, i knew he had a better economy then me, so I had to do some quick thinking and It paid off, I was able to get a good number of them out to damage his eco back. He came at me with his roach army hoping to finish me off, I however flew back took care of his army and flew back to his base and he gg's. Already going against plats. I am getting a lot better faster I believe. I am not saying I am good, but I am atleast improving. I still need to work on droning up harder and stuff, but that will come

LOLOLOLOLOL wtf just happened! I thought he was proxy racking me so I made a shit tonne of units, to find out when I went to attack he wasnt. I decided well i got these units lets hope his depo is down, and so I attacked and I guess he didn't wall off fully and my lings and banelings got in his base! banelings went POP inside his mineral lines and I got another easy win vs a platinum! A must watch replay for sure

I got a broodling in and saw zero tanks, so I just massed Banes and rolled into his base lol! oh god I love Zerg.

So That was a quick game, He tried to expand and I just made a few lings, 3 banelings, killed both his queens and he leaves. Pretty simple, straight forward, I probably would have expanded soono after that attack and be well on my way to winning a longer game.

Hokkay guys so im going to leave you with some end notes. I played a few other games, mainly just fucking around so I lost them and such, but I was just having fun

I'm in gold, and I can get into Plat pretty soon, so might as well not take it so seriously!

So basically I just want to ask, does anyone Else's hands get ice cold after every game? My hands are always frozen to the point where its hard to move them after I win or lose a game. I need to take breaks just to heat up my hands so I'm ready for the next match.

looks like everything went wrong when you attacked the morphing banelings with all of your lings and they all died. I would give you tips but I don't play zerg

2nd win was nice, but I think he would have smushed ur push if his tanks were sieged. noob move right there

He might have crushed my first wave, but I had reinforcements coming, I think I would have done fine, either way he would not have a strong army to push and win the game with the economy I had.

Hey, watched all you games because I had time to kill and I think I found just two things that could prolly help shoot you into plat.

The first would be you have a severe case of under droning.+ Show Spoiler +

This was the game that you had versus the protoss which was probably your worst one, but still you should try to get to around to 70(ish) drones as zerg. A good way to guestimate how many drones you have and how many more you should make is to make your goal 3 saturated bases since thats about 72 drones which is a pretty good number. You can tell if your base is saturated by double clicking on a worker (or drag selecting them) and looking to see how many you have. Each line on the unit selection is eight units so if all 3 lines are filled the base is saturated and you should stop making drones for it. Less than 3 lines means you should make some more drones to fill out the base.

For example:

This base is fully saturated (well close enough)

This base isn't fully saturated and should get some more drone lovin'

Makes counting drones a lot easier

Also, you should prolly hotkey your queens, since I didn't see them hotkeyed in any of your replays. It makes multitasking and larva injects alot easier.

Anywho, I'm a rank 20 plat protoss if you'd like to do some practice or anything at anytime since you said vs. protoss was your weakest match-up. My character is TheAgent.297. GL HF, hope you make it to plat

that's not quite true. you always want to engage when you have just enough or more than enough to deal with the push, otherwise he can basically siege up in a better position and makes the game even more uneven.
your reinforcement force alone will not be able to handle the push because one big force>>>>>>>>>two medium force.
Which is why Protoss deathball is so strong if you didn't deal enough damage with your first wave. Even if you have way better economy, he will just kill off your reinforcement that comes in small groups one by one.

Very useful indeed, I like how you posted the pictures for clearer visuals on what you where saying. I'll take the into consideration, and I'll probably add you on sc2 for some practice games!
