Hey nice guide.
Can illusions still block roshan, they dont attack it they just tank roshan hits.

EDIT if you're doing another back to the basics guide, i have an idea of doing how to last hit in lanes, when to use spells to farm etc.

Nice one ! I have always neglected the value of creepstacking and when i pull then only on the very basic positions. Really liked the two videos and i think i will play around a bit more with creeps in the future. Doesn't seem to be hard at all and i see where this could be very valuable.

especially liked the way you got the lane creeps to fight the 2nd camp - id notthought of that!

One thing you didnt do was indicate which creep camps are hardest and which are easiest. I remember my first jungle experience when i attacked the hardest stack in jungle at lvl1 and thought this game is broken

Great guide, Bumblebee! It describes a basic level of DotA to all players. One thing you should mention is that it is always preferable to destroy the melee barracks rather than the ranged barracks because the super melee creeps that spawn have a larger effect than the super ranged creep.

Another suggestion might be adding a section of juking paths, but I think this could get complicated towards new players.

I have played dota for like 4 years and I still didn't know the respawn time of roshan. Oh well, you learn something new everyday. Great guide!

It is nice to have concrete example of creep pulling. Also I did learn that you needed to kill Roshan 3 times to get cheese. I thought it was a modification for a previous patch that had been removed some patches after, because I got a cheese one time and never again. I can't remember if we killed Roshan more than 3 times this game though

Nice guide!

IMHO

1) Give a little something on team strategies. I.e. turtle > gank > push > turtle etc.
2) Explain some basic laning. I.e. 2-1-2 - 1-1-3 - 2-1-1-jungle etc.
3) Explain some basic picks and roles. I.e. Carry, support, babysit, roam, tank, initiator etc.

This helps newcomers and intermediaries to get over some early hurdles and spare themselves a bunch of flames and complaints --> better community

And... crossing fingers for key =)
