IIRC this got discontinued in Korea for false advertising and lack of demand.
Guess it does taste better? With that price I would expect it to as well.

I'd say it tastes different than the original. Slightly more healthy and cleaner? Its got no MSG. But for some reason the original is more spicy. I always figured a black package implied something was spicy as hell.

From what I read and labeling on the packagings, it's suppose to taste closer to Seol-nong-tang.

I used to eat it at least once a week while I was at school but now that I'm living at home my mom won't let me eat any.
I loved stirring the egg when it's cooking so it flavors the broth much more, though some people (like you) keep the egg whole.
Idk if it's common in Korea but a lot of people put a slice of cheese on top too.
