hey guys,
i got my first smart phone last week. shit like 1st born child. Im loving it.
it was a hard choice between a iphone 4s or the galaxy s2. after reading a shit load of reviews all over the place, i eventually settled with the galaxy because of the price and because I've heard from a lot more people that android exceeds ios Im terms of user friendliness and more suitable for my slightly behind in tech countries service providers. in short i can say that i am more than happy with the galaxy to say the least.
right now in typing this blog from it and i the predictive text lets of type probably at the same speed as i do no a keyboard. i could never really do anything on tl other read shit with my old phone. i could post, but if the text was too long the shit would freeze up and restart. now i can even quote huge walls of text, with music playing and whatsapp running in the background with no problem.
my problem is that i know that in not using it to its full potential. i have downloaded a few apps and android store and torrented a few games (free games obviously) but only the real basics. Ive got anti virus, winamp and the app me that syncs with utorrent to check downloads and things like that but browsing through the store takes ages because there's just so much i couldn't possibly in through it all to find anything useful.
can you guys recommend anything that i can download which is cool, useful, anything really that's worthwhile or fun to get the most out of my new baby.
Im also looking for am app that my friend found and showed to me but i have no idea what's its called. basically its am app me that you hold up your phone to the sky and it shows you exactly where star constellations, planets and other shit is in real time as you move your phone around if that makes any sense. does anyone know what its called?
anyway, i can say hue joined the real world now and not living in the dark ages anymore and in loving it! what a pleasure and a convenience. i dont think i could ever in back.
thanks for reading <3 ps if i miss typed something in sorry lol. still getting used to the predictive text.

alot of people feel this way, myself included. but ive come to realize that smart phones are here to stay. android can run on phones that can replace even the cheapest and crappiest of clamshells of past. so really, you don't have to load up a million different apps or stuff like that. the beauty of the smart phone is a place where you can have music, web, email, etc, all in one small device, and can you customize it as much or as little as you want to suit your needs.

My first recommendation would be to flash the rom as the carrier version of the rom is garbage most of the time. I'm using the Lite'ning rom and I'm very satisfied with it. The MIUI is also awesome. The advantage with the Lite'ning rom is that it takes 10 minutes chrono to flash and root your phone.
In terms of applications, I use PowerAmp to listen to music, and if you're into games, you can play any SNES game, and most PS1 games with emulators. You'll also probably update the launcher (the application that manages the desktop and the application draw). The three most popular launchers are prolauncher, twlauncher, and go launcher. I personally find Go Launcher awesome !

Words with Friends!
And a smartphone really is a step-up, I felt like a new man when I got my hands on my HTC Desire <3 So many options and so much convenience.
Apart from that I'm not really using a lot - Deeds Music Streamer for listening to Grooveshark, Winamp for regular music, Tweetdeck and WhatsApp/Meebo, thats pretty much it.

Wait, there's a free app that allows you to listen to Grooveshark on a phone? Been using Pandora on my phone because I'm supposed to pay for Grooveshark on a phone
edit: Just googled "deeds music streamer" and found nothing ?!
