Ok guys. I'm on a mission. I have some friends coming over on the 18th, and that is the day I'm going to show them the wonders of Starcraft.
I need about 3-5 games, that are super epic. Like bisu vs savior back in the good old days, or boxer's two marine rush. but i need them in sc2 LOL
please send suggestions, replays and youtube casts are both fine
thanksss :D

Show them MMA vs LoSirA (Finals MLG)

SC vs. San from GSL March. If you want an epic slugfest with lots of explosions and special effects to keep their attention, go with that series. Truly one of the most exciting series in SC2 history.
|
Kiwikaki vs Stephano from IPL 3. Game 2. You might want to suck them in first with some shorter epic games instead of starting with that one just because of it's length. I still think it should be shown anytime someone speaks of epic games of SC2.

3 picks, each illustrating a different aspect of the game.
I would suggest one of those epic MMA games where he drops and attacks in so many places so quickly that the camera man and commentator can barely keep track.
Then maybe throw in one of the early TLO games where he drops like 6 nukes and masses BC's.
And then finally show a game that isn't all macro. Show him MasterAsia vs. TT1, which shows the potential complexity and depth of a seemingly stalemate situation with only a couple units which lasts over an hour.

Be careful when you view over a game to look at in as much as you can in terms of a spectator and not a player. The things that make pro players excited are really good and timed out builds, which can be hard to see the cool factor in if you don't have a lot of experience. I'd recommend one of the puma v mc games from the nasl finals where he snipes the twilight council. As much as I'd like to recommend rain boxer from mlg (omg viking bc raven thor) or mvp darkforce (where they almost minded out the whole map even though mvp was pretty behind most of the game), they're quite long, I think a 20 minute (in game time) would be good.

i like this and i also like this
yea those are those that come to mind also half of the epic is the HYPE HYPE HYPE so make sure yournii buddies know that nestea is like the zerg beacon of hope in gsl right now and that sc has top3 tvz in the world and how nestea has always wanted to be a successful progamer but in bw he never fully realized his potential in 1v1 and eventually ended up being a coach and sc2 gave him a second chance to be the best
let your buddies know that thorzain is just some swedish kid who likes to play starcraft while mc is a guy from korea who's practiced all of his life to be good at this and even though thorzain had surprised everybody he was still the underdog in this match and mc had to pull out the dirtiest tricks in the book such as the mini map feedback, but thorzain still managed to defeat him in the end (this is game4 in a bo5) with original strategies

theyre only from TSL, but there were a lot of great games from there.
since your friends have never seen SC2 before, they probably can't appreciate good long macro games. for pure entertainment value, look for something with nukes, those are always exciting. or destiny's videos, his commentary turn the videos into almost viral comedy (i.e. baneling analogy, jimmy NOOO!, and debo's banshees that got on AotS)

Kiwikaki vs Stephano Game 2 from IPL3 is probably the most viewer friendly game. Not as high level as some korean games, but it's just awesome how they are duking it out. It contains basically every single unit Zerg and Protoss can build.

I'd recommend Light vs Tempest, the legendary one with the hero dragoon. + Show Spoiler +
Watching that game, even now, gives me enormous "nerdchills" when I watch it. Just listening the casters talk about how it's over, how Tempest has lost, and then, as he fights his way back into it with one legendary dragoon how surprised they are. It's beautiful. It's gorgeous. There are a lot of great games out there, but this one... it's just amazing.
EDIT: OHHHHHHHHHH Sc2. Um. I'd check out Mvp vs Top Game 1 from the GSL August finals, the game on Daybreak. It really shows off all the greatness of TvT.

Thorzain vs MC game 4 on TalDarim from the TSL Round of 8(?)
|
MKP (a.k.a Boxer/Foxer) vs Kyrix, GSL Open 2, ro8 set5.
Bomber vs Losira in a GSTL match where it was manner dances all over the place.
Puma vs MC in the NASL season 1 finals was also pretty epic.

nestea vs mvp Blizzcon finals last match it was pretty awesome

Mana vs Naama, G3 DH Winter 2010 finals. Thorain vs DRG, G4 DH Valencia Invitational. Oh, and any game from Thorzain's magical TSL3 run.
