Maybe you are just bored:" what do you want to do?" Also I think your mind set needs a little revamp. There is no achievements to life you can actively pursue, nor should you think other people have those under their belts. e. but maybe you should go see a psychologist.

and a book Man's Search for Meaning - Victor Frankl - description taken from amazon Psychiatrist Viktor Frankl's memoir has riveted generations of readers with its descriptions of life in Nazi death camps and its lessons for spiritual survival. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose. Frankl's theory—known as logotherapy, from the Greek word logos ("meaning")—holds that our primary drive in life is not pleasure, as Freud maintained, but the discovery and pursuit of what we personally find meaningful. . At the time of Frankl's death in 1997, Man's Search for Meaning had sold more than 10 million copies in twenty-four languages. A 1991 reader survey by the Library of Congress and the Book-of-the-Month Club that asked readers to name a "book that made a difference in your life" found Man's Search for Meaning among the ten most influential books in America. Born in Vienna in 1905 Viktor E. Frankl earned an M.D. and a Ph.D. from the University of Vienna. He published more than thirty books on theoretical and clinical psychology and served as a visiting professor and lecturer at Harvard, Stanford, and elsewhere. In 1977 a fellow survivor, Joseph Fabry, founded the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy. Frankl died in 1997 If you need someone to talk to don't hesitate to send me a private msg and we can talk .

Agreed, you realize that a meaning in life isn't generally going to jump on you while you're walking down the street like in the movies right? Think about an airplane without a destination, you're going to eventually crash (2 bottle of vodka, alone? really?). So you can either talk to a professional who has the literal job of trying to help fix whatever is bothering you, or you can just keep feeling miserable. Do you exercise at all? If not I would highly recommend that you start. There are multiple threads here on TL to help you, I enjoy running myself.

The only reason why a psychologist would care about my problems is because he gets paid for it and less than 5 minutes after i leave the door, he would not even remember my name without looking at his notes. Well, posting on TL isn't much better, noone of you really cares or would remember my name the moment you click on another thread, but at least you read it voluntarily, not because you get money for it. PS: Meaning of life is simple, figured that out a few years ago. "Make a better world for the children of tomorrow and make sure there will be children tomorrow, too". So simple, don't know why so many struggle to find that. Is this a troll? What does that even mean? Make a better world? Well sounds like you've got all the answers then man, why don't you try some volunteer work or something like that? Maybe you should take out a sheet of paper and make some of these things called "goals"? Gasp! Maybe you should take little steps toward making your life a little better, instead of this worthless venting on the anonymous internet, that is if this is a real blog. Or you could just keep on with the pity party that's going on right now, whatever you want. But don't start with this existential "make the world a better place" crap, that's so cliche.

The root of your problems could be a million things and you'll get a multitude of guesses from the posters of TL.net that may all be wrong. Is it possible if you went into your birthday with a positive attitude and just did something for yourself, went out, saw a movie, bought a book, etc etc you might not have such a shitty day? Birthdays are usually hard for me too, but I always feel better if I go out (even if it's alone). You might not feel super great, but it's probably better than puking in the toilet. I can't give you real advice. It's just an idea of an alternative way to spend your birthday You can spend it feeling sorry for yourself if you really want to.

There is a reason people keep telling you the same things every time: They fucking work. I am certainly tired of it, see my posts in your previous blogs.

So simple, don't know why so many struggle to find that. not true at all and it just shows how short sighted your perspective is. you go to a psych for an extended period of time and sessions. you build a relationship. they help you build a better life. and wait, since when did psychologists get money? you usually go into psychiatry if you want to make money, and you go into psychology if you want to really help people. there isn't much money in it for them, that's all i'm saying. and they're more likely to be working at that job because they want to help someone. (personally I know I could become a psychiatrist, but I don't want to take a different approach than one that relies on drugs.) the meaning of life is different for everyone. you sort of just make it up on your own, though. most people would agree with your statement but some have different ideas. (nietzche, freud, frankl, all have different views on this)
