About 5 years ago I started playing on offline board-game server called littlegolem.net. I used to play five-in-a-row there. Believe it or not, there's FiaR scene with players taking it as seriously as SC2 professionals putting lots of hours a day into it, but I will write about this in some other blog.
While playing there I found a game so clever and simple which I'm still amazed by even after all those years. It's called, as title says, Game of Empathy.
The rules are easy. There's a topic and your goal is to write 8 words related to the topic which most of players will write. Everytime a player uses a word, this word gets 1 point. So if 100 players use word X and you used it, you will get 101 points (100 players + you) for this word. Naturally, the winner is the one who can get the highest number of points.
Topics can be as wide as "red" or as narrow as "EU states". Whatever the topic is, it's always fun trying to figure out a) what is the most related word and b) what others think is the most related word.
My question is: Would you be interested in "playing" this game if I run it here, on teamliquid?
Every round could last for 3days/5days/week and except classic win ranking there would be also monthly/yearly ranking based on amount of points you get. Each round players can vote topic for next round.
