I haven't done an update for a while so i will skim the last week or so
So on Saturday I entered into my first tournament, the Reddit EU tourney, by the luck of the draw or a kind tournament admin I was placed against another gold league player in the first round. He went Thor/Marine with some Scvs both games and I took a reasonably easy GG. He was playing from South Africa however so lag may have affected his play. Not wanting to waste the time of a better player, I gave my masters league opponent a walkover in my second round match, and bowed unceremoniously out of the tournament. (This player would go on to win the tournament, if your reading this, your welcome MakerOfSnack, I hope we can follow through on the promise to play as equals one day.)
I threw myself into some ladder games which served to reaffirm my mediocrity, so feeling down hearted I played against my Plat league Protoss friend, and took a winning record of him, which has helped me a lot since in my ZvPs.
This sequence continued over the next several days until he switched to Zerg for a day or two, as I refuse to voluntarily play that match up
So Today...
I opened the day with 4 ZvZs, three of them on shattered temple, and three of them losses. I lost to a Ling all in, a mirror build executed better due to bad engagements, and a Ling semi-all in that did enough damage to not be all in anymore. My win game in odd circumstances when my opponent proxy hatched my natural, 4 blings in his mineral line forced a GG and all was good with the world.

The Zerg games were followed by the Terran games.
I lost to fast banshee three times, which was not so fun...
But I also won a long macro game after a Terrans failed timing push, and a quick game that I pushed with my Roaches against his hellions, and that was all she wrote.

And Protoss comes afterwards....
So there are only two embarrassing losses in the Protoss category, in one I wrongly assumed that the glowing building was a cybernetics core and promptly lost to 6 zealots, and in the other I stopped the first probe, but the second got three cannons down and the VRs took down my bases slightly later. My win came against a poorly performed VR all in.

So overall, I feel my macro is reasonable for my league, although still horrible in comparison to most. I rarely lose in a macro game although when I do, I lose hard in a crushing show. My main issue outside of my macro right now is my general game knowledge, I lost several times to Fast Banshees today and at only one time did I predict it coming ('though I still failed to place enough spores) I feel that if my game knowledge improves it will allow me to make most of my games into macro affairs, which I am not only more comfortable in but will help my play more in the long run.
Thanks for reading, and if anyone wants to play sometime or offer words of encouragement or advice I am:
