Now, on to the real reason I started this thread. I am finding that rather than getting bored of StarCraft, I am getting more and more excited about it. Usually when I buy a new game, that "new game feeling", wears off rather quickly, but now, 3 months after buying SC2, I simply cannot stop thinking about it in class, writing spur of the moment build order ideas down, talking about it with anyone and everyone that will simply hear about it for even a split second. SC2 has become less of a game and more of a lifestyle. I watch every GSL, GSTL, NASL that I can, I watch all of the Day [9] Daily's, I tune in to the tournaments, I watch the pros stream on Twitch, really, most of my days are filled with SC2 related activities.
I guess what I am trying to say in this post is, what ways are there for me to get more involved in the community? I am not that great of a player, however I am getting a lot better rather quickly, but I do not necessarily aspire to be a pro. Maybe I will enter a few amateur tournaments but they are few and far between here in Australia. I also do not have an amazing computer so I cannot really cast games. But I still have this itching feeling to do things within this community.
I'm stumped and I really don't know what to do so any new ideas are welcome. I have a lot of time on my hands as well, due to the fact that I just moved here, to Australia, and I normally just sit around and do, well, StarCraft.
If you read through this whole thing, thanks! I really want to be involved with furthering SC2 and e-sports in general, so please, help me!
Thanks again!
