EPTSooooooooooooooooooooooo ANGRY!
Had to get that out of the way.
I'm sad that my first blog post has to start this way but... I figure this is better than punching a hole through my bedroom wall. (I'd probably fail to make a dent in the wall but break my hand anyway). Here WE GO!
So, I get home from 8 hours of university (4 hours of classes that day, 2 hour transit to school and 2 hours back) one day, and I wanna play some starcraft because I'm going to explode if I don't do something fun.
So, I start up Starcraft and the Patch starts downloading. I'm pretty excited because I kind of love this patch. (Apart from the Barracks change, which is stupid because I've never two rax'd a zerg in my life, I play Terran btw. Sometimes Random.)
Patch Finishes, Que up first ladder game. TvP on Nazrim Crypt. Close spots. One base immortal all in from him. (Obv, what else would I expect after the patch). Easy enough to hold off. (Marine good unit). And so the day passes with a couple more ladder games and no enraging incidents.
Couple of days later, Friday Night, starting to play with some friends. We try a 1v1, I lag hardcore and drop. Skype is working fine at this point. It's just Battle-net that's acting up. So, I restart SC and don't think much of it because its just B-net being B-net. Que up another game, same thing happens. Transfer to a wired connection. Same thing. Skype is working through all of this. Then my internet starts to go crazy. Skype doesn't work anymore. Basically no Internet access. I try everything I can to make it work. (I've set up my own home network so I know the basics of router management and things like that). Nothing.
I unplug my router for a couple minutes.Internet comes back for like 5 minutes and then drops again. So, at this point, I'm fairly angry but I'm too tired to do anything by this point because its like 12'o clock and I've gotten almost no sleep the whole week (partial insomnia FTW). So, I go to sleep.
Wake up this morning, have breakfast, shower, SC2. In that order. (Fairly normal for a Saturday morning, no?) It won't let me log in to SC. (raeg). After trying some other things to make it work, I can log in, Cue up a game, play for like 10 minutes only to drop again. I honestly can't figure out why it's doing that. So, I've come to blame the patch. It's the only explanation. (SC2 is taking like 120k Ks of my memory, where as before, it would only go up to 300 max).
So, Here I am. Writing this blog. While coming up with ideas of how else to spend my weekend (Nothing else even comes close to SC2).
Also, thanks to day9, I'm hooked.
I'm sure it'll be fixed over the time though.
