Well, there had to be a reason I stopped torturing the Team Liquid community with my constant blog posting, right?
Unfortunately, I haven't read many girl blogs to copy them and I'm not exactly looking for advice, but, screw it, it's my blog, I'll write about my man.
So, how did this fellow happen to meet me? Trolling me on the internet of course.
I had posted my "Nidalee Costume Creation" on the League of Legends forums and it became quite popular ( http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=1044447 ). He works for Riot, the company which runs League of Legends, and happens to be fairly active in their community and well-known for his trolling. I accepted most of the hundreds of friend requests I received in game and one of those just happened to be from him. That's where it all began.
He messaged me one day when I logged on about a different Nidalee costume, one that a woman wore to Gamescom. He linked me a picture of her and started complimenting it. I was a little miffed by this, so I guess his trolling worked, but I replied politely enough. One conversation lead to another and the next thing I know, I had been typing furiously in the League client chat for two hours.
He was insistent that I troll one of his friends at PAX and, refreshingly, didn't hit on me at all. In fact, we mostly just talked about various games, the gaming community and other random geeky things. When PAX came around, I tried my best to troll his friend and hung out with a bunch of the Riot crew. I had a great time, but I couldn't help feeling especially sad that my new friend wasn't there.
We talked a bit more and decided we should hang out, we were clearly easily compatible as friends and he wanted to show me around Riot HQ. So, the first day off I had at school, I hopped in my car and drove off to Santa Monica.
The parking garage was a little confusing (it had a locked gate in the middle of a floor!), so he walked down to meet me. Being blind, the first thing I noticed was his outfit. He dresses remarkably well, generally in slightly worn jeans and shirts similar to the Affliction style but much, much, much more subtle. Then I noticed his height, a surprising few inches taller than me (I'm 5'10-11, so that's quite uncommon). Finally, as he approached, I noticed how ridiculously handsome he was with the most natural smile spreading across his face as I got closer. Next thing I knew, I was in his arms and we were laughing and giggling like kids.
Thus far, we've had a number of adventures, from wandering around his workplace extremely intoxicated to going up to a music festival hidden in the mountains to kicking each other's asses in 1v1 League games.
Yet, in all of this time spent together, I've discovered something that I haven't ever seen in anyone else before; true companionship. His personality compliments mine and mine compliments his. We can go from a serious intellectual debate to rolling around in the grass, giggling like 5 year olds. I give him a little caution and he gives me more motivation to just go out and live.
Though we love such similar things, we have different interests which we can share with each other, too. Life suddenly feels so much more exciting. I used to spend all day trolling forums and playing games for entertainment, now I go out to find new things that I can share with him. My whole outlook on life has significantly changed.
Admittedly, the hour drive to visit him sucks and is impossible during the week, but I have three day weekends due to my school schedule and I am pretty sure I've booked all of them for the next three months with various activities with him.
So... don't expect many blogs. I'll write whenever something truly hilarious happens or when a new game comes out to review (and probably a review for Dominion). Other than that, enjoy your freedom from Riku harassment!
+ Show Spoiler +Here's a picture of us irl: And here's one of us in game that I drew (yeah... he carries me ;p ):

Not many interesting blogs lately... Since I'm in college now, that's an issue. I wont have anything else to do but play videogames and do homework D:

I'd go on a cynical and observant rant right now, but that's only going to result in backlash. Hopefully it all works out; nice blog.

Are you gonna use him to ban annoying people from the forums and in game? What about those game cards or whatever?
Good luck though, wish you the best.

Oooohhhh a BOY BLOG this is a rare gem for sure.
Not enough drama for my taste... things in this blog rather turned out too smoothly for me to sip my morning coffee and ride along the heart-wrenching drama (which is what usually happens in girl blogs), but I still gave a 5/5 for including a picture anyway.

I think it's because she's spending all of her time getting attention from her man than all of us.
Nevertheless, it is a unique way of meeting a boyfriend. And to think, a few months ago she was blogging about how she gets all sorts of bizarre and creepy propositions from men online. Evidently, all those guys were just doing it wrong :D

I believe they broke up a few months ago and she sold half her things, threw the rest in a van and decided to travel the country or something along those lines.

I believe you are mistaken. Perhaps you misheard some conversation somewhere.
Unfortunately, you are the only person being rude, so please try to be more considerate if you are going to reply again.

So when you're introduced to your friend's new girlfriend, the first thing you say to her is, "Jeeze, he's dating you? Weird, I thought he was going to marry his last girlfriend. She's nice."
O.o
That isn't rude? At all?

He wasn't, though. I can assure you, there was 100% no marriage plans. None. Absolutely zero. He's very open with me and I know him very well.
:/
Regardless, even if that wasn't the case, it's still rude to bring up right off of the bat.

It's really not that rude, no need to over-react. The last thing Brent would do is be rude/mean to someone, he's the nicest guy ever. He just asked a simple question that could have easily been answered by "nope, they broke up a few months ago" or something... no need to attack him and call him rude.

Uh no it really isn't rude.
It's in inquiry and nothing more. You're sensitive with the subject because it pertains directly to your relationship...I guess...but it isn't a rude question in and of itself.

I'm sorry for asking a question. That's just the impression I was under the last time I saw them.

It's rude if it is said in that manner and tone, but it wasn't. You can make absolutely everything sound rude if you change the tone and manner...
The bottom line was he wasn't trying to be rude or offend anyone.

I think the inquisition into a lovers past relationship via the comment field on a highly visible blog may scratch the rude category at least a small bit. The initial statement was harmless, but the "No really, wtf happened to Midi?" sort of demands a response, and I don't know about you, but discussing the marital potential of someone I am seeing to someone other than myself is not something I would be excited to share with anyone, much less a large audience - if for no other reason than I can likely never know the reason for sure. Since we're here though...
It should be somewhat important to note that "Last I heard, they were going to get married" can admittedly be an overstatement Brent, as I made absolutely certain that we did not have a relationship when we were at work. We knew we were not compatible long term after about a month in, and despite that knowledge never really tainting what we had at the time, it also never created an atmosphere where it would escalate to the premise of anything else, if for no other reason(though there were several) than my perception of marriage has throughout my life been an extremely convoluted concept that I will play no part in as it is. I'm only recently coming to terms with the idea that it will ever be in my future in any facet because as an idealist and someone who prioritizes the combination of intellectual, emotional, and physical connections in conjunction with mutuality and mutual interests together, I will never be happy with anything short of near perfect compatibility, and consequently by the time you are certain of that, marriage isn't important (not to mention the probability of me ever finding anyone that meets my standards in a companion is exceptionally rare). Fortunately, I think my idealism has payed off. <3
Figured the horses mouth was the easiest way to resolve this tangle of third party commentary, not to mention a good excuse to stop lurking and participate as I have been lurking off and on since winter when Brent introduced me to Teamliquid, though more frequently recently .
Good to see you Brent! How are you doing? Where are you living now? Hit me up. If you are in the area, we'll have to grab a drink. David, Chris, and I are all living together in Santa Monica now, half a block from the new office. Also, stop being a troll. <3

<3 Figured the horses mouth was the easiest way to resolve this tangle of third party commentary, not to mention a good excuse to stop lurking and participate as I have been lurking off and on since winter when Brent introduced me to Teamliquid, though more frequently recently . Good to see you Brent! How are you doing? Where are you living now? Hit me up. If you are in the area, we'll have to grab a drink. David, Chris, and I are all living together in Santa Monica now, half a block from the new office. Also, stop being a troll. <3 -Serif just give her a good one. for me.

Grats on the relationship! I'm curious if you guys cosplay together during romance. Like, do you wear your Nidalee costume and he wears Heimerdinger or something?
(Yes, I picture all game devs as being LARPers or at the very least cosplayers)

1/5... Riot taking girl from TL without paying RP =(

Haha, I had absolutely no clue he worked for Riot when we started talking, actually. I wasn't very familiar with the reds.

I'm actually helping him make a Rugged Garen costume that he's going to wear to Blizzcon to troll. I'm still going as a baneling, though, but I'm sure we'll go somewhere as Nidalee/Garen. No... uh... bedroom cosplay planned.

I demand better spacing!! I'm still quite confused as to what the content was even after reading it. It's as if you successfully wrote a brain hack within a piece of text, in that I have no idea what I read after I read it despite introspection and attempted information retrieval.

Dear Riku,
Why do you expect a bunch of single nerds to understand why "Hey, why didnt your boyfriend marry his other girlfriend?" is a shitty way to start a conversation with someone.
and the reason I am really posting...
You have inspired me.
I am going to go post on a forum that hot nerdy girls visit... like.... hhhhmmmm ok maybe this plan wont work...

Everybody knows that Uni's #1 criteria is being 13, aka *coughPobeltercough*, but she will settle for guys that are 40+ city hunter's dad. She really likes qualities like being a badboy like that Drizzlemilkshake guy and inept. It's just that most guys who do not have high enough elo do not have any of these qualities. (secretly, the length of your privates = your elo/2, but elo/4 for azns.) Your best chance is to compliment her looks and 13 year old like body and buy stuff for her like ip boosts and super exclusive skins. This is the best way to replace one of unichan's 3 boifriends(not boyfriends, or manfriends, but boifriends) because all you need is more money than the other guy. However, this will only do things like give you a 10 minute chat session with unichan pretending to be a kawaii rice, (no pun intended), and a fake online kiss, while she cheats on you for mcbadboydrizzle, or sexy hunk pobelter.
