Anyone who's watched Starcraft 2 VODs for any length of time has heard an ungodly amount of a certain few commercials (see: We can't be defeateeeeed). Because of SC2, every annoying Bing commercial of all time has been emblazoned into my head for all eternity.
Now, while I'm sure we all love the fact that Starcraft 2 is getting major sponsors like Olive Garden and Bing, around the 80th time "DAHNCE DAHNCE DAHNCE" is blasted into my earpiece, drawing stares of amusement and ridicule of my music choices from all around, I start to wonder whether a Nestea vs Mvp best of 7 is really worth it.
We have a Best Commercials of All Time, so what commercials have annoyed you the most? Also included are good commercials that have been so overplayed that they piss you off anyway.
Not kidding, it takes 1 second until they piss me off and annoy me to hell. FF**, if I want to buy your shit I'll do it! If I don't want to, your stupid commercials won't change it!
I especially hate U.S. commercials. Everybody is singing, happy and has no worries. F*** this unrealistic shit. Blip.tv is a nogo for me because even though I live in Germany I get your stupid, cheesy comercials which are easily the worst in the world.
EDIT: Thanks for that blog. I alway wanted to say that.
The Bing one drives me crazy, that song and the band just rub me the wrong way. The worst part is that after seeing it innumerable times during MLG I've come to like the song. That is the most painful, and humiliating, part of it all.
I don't like commercials, so I don't watch them. If they come up on the TV I just change the channel, and if they start on a stream I just mute the stream and watch Youtube videos, or look at funny pictures.

Trust me seeing which k pop group is playing at the code S finals and actualy knowing the band is far far more embarrassing.
I don't have a problem with commercials myself. sometimes they actualy inform me on what I want to get.

Fuck bing though Google forever.
Google is shit. The search overload marketing done by bing is accurate imo.
I'm the only person in the world with my name, so when I google myself I see only stuff that pertains to me.
The google search on me used to be interesting, things I'd done, charities I'd contributed to, etc. Now, whenever I google myself, I get Linked-In Google+ Facebook Facebook public group comment Facebook public group comment Picasso Pipl (btw, I never signed up for these last 2, and they say I have a profile with my google+ profile pic...) Some weird name collecting database
Its all garbage. Only after the first page do I get to the interesting, non-spam things about me.
If I search myself on bing, on the other hand: Linked-In (still TT) Charity Golf Invitational 2006 Track and Field Season opener results Some weird name collecting database (still TT) Fundraising Idea - Labrar La Tierra (Ghana charity) Track and Field Purple vs White results Canadian Chess Federation tournament results
Now, all of this stuff comes up on Google too...but on the 2nd page because the search clutters up the original page with the pages of companies that have exploited the google search formula.
Just try searching average income trends and indexes on google. All you get is news articles that don't help you at all, or fucking useless wikipedia articles! Because the news article holds the key words, and the news site exploits the google formula, bam there it is in the results. Google puts a huuuuuge priority on wikipedia articles which is great if you need one - but if you want to find something that isn't on wikipedia or that is less popular than an unrelated wikipedia page with the same key words in it, good luck cause you aren't gonna find it.
Google also requires you to type "United States" instead of "u.s." Thats just stupid. Bing doesn't do that, its smart enough to know what "u.s." is.
So many things like this made me switch to bing. Just yesterday I was trying to search "average U.S. Income index". Easy pz right? Well, first I had to change my search to say "united states", which changed the results. After that, all i got was shitty news articles and wikipedia articles about U.S. income disparity and MEDIAN incomes. I don't give a shit about median incomes, i need average incomes. There was nothing useful even a few pages in.
I searched it on bing. The first 3 things that came up each gave me all the information I need.
Oh wow, average incomes, right there in 1 search. So easy.
I consider myself pretty tolerable of commercials. I only get really annoyed when I end up seeing the same commercial over and over again like during MLG. But that Bing commercial pissed me off from the first second I heard it..it's just way too loud. Even if commercials I liked were put at that volume, I would hate them. Before hearing it, I probably would've said sure why not use Bing; now, I will never use it and will do my best to prevent anyone from using it as well.
P.S. disappointed this was not a pasta blog. I just made some penne with alfredo tonight too.
