... and I'm pretty stressed lol.
Going to be majoring in Software Engineering. Schedule is basically : 3 classes M/Thurs (10am - 3:45 pm ish) , Tues/F (10am-11:50am) , and Weds off, so it's a pretty simple schedule to fit stuff into.
Kind of sucks to be going from every day off to 3 days off a week (which isn't bad) entering my freshman year of college. The hardest thing to do will probably be having the motivation to continue to improve at SC2 while managing my courses, and I'm a commuter so that will eat up even more time into the day.
Any other of you guys that are entering college have a little plan or whatnot as to how you're going to continue sc2 while also doing well in college?
I figure I'm just going to use Day9's state of mind which is if you want to do something, just do it, but make sure you get your stuff done as well. Which sounds simple enough I guess. Hopefully I'll get good enough at sc2 throughout my 4 years of college to possibly pursue a sort of career in it afterwards (i like software engineering, but i love starcraft).
Anyhow, those of you that are also starting college, lemme know what you think of everything and whatnot, should be cool to hear since a lot of us are in the same boat.

So happy. Finally, the most boring summer of my life ends tomorrow. Something to do, how marvelous!
My schedule
Monday : 10am to 6pm (class + 5 hour lab) Tuesday : 8:30am to 5pm (class + 7 hour lab) Wednesday : 10am to 2:15pm Thursday : 8:30 am to 9:45 am Friday : 10am to 3pm.
Overall, 1 short day, 2 medium days and 2 long days (but labs are fun anyway). Pretty happy with it, a pretty open schedule for most of the week.

I have a question, something I've been meaning to ask some students I know. When you use AP Credit on a class, can you just do the 2nd year class instead? Or do you have to waste time with a bare schedule?

That depends on what the requirements to take the 2nd year class are as well as if it will fit in your schedule.

Some Universities make students redo the AP classes if the student will major or minor in the subject. Contact the department for whatever class it is (ex: Contact the Math Department if you have questions over AP Credits) and eventually you should get an adviser who can answer your questions.

Take some elective to get it out of the way if you are only doing 4 classes now, trust me it will be worth it later when you have a full schedule and diffucult core classes with lots of homework.
|
classes 4 days a week, and more free time (disregarding homework) than your average highschooler? I think you could definitely fit another class/elective in there.
|
3 days of school a week (starting tomorrow on the 2nd day), and ~30 hours of work (a job) a week. Ohhhhhh baby.
@OP I'll probably devote most of my free time to keeping up with SC2 through TL, etc. It's almost as if nothing will change!

4 days a week, 8 total classes for video game design 2nd year i am super stoked for school, for once :D
|
I took an elective course of Theology. I start tomorrow. Very much not looking forward to it. Ugh.
Good luck mate!

well today was super easy and i know like all of the Java stuff, so this shouldnt be too bad!

Good luck mate! Theology elective, sounds like something TDL would take. Oh wait...
@OP: your schedule seems pretty light for a first-year engineer, lucky you!
