My highest rank ever was D+ playing mostly PvT and TvP and avoiding zergs like the plague but I'm thinking about starting to ladder again and making protoss my main race. How hard is ICCUP compared to what it was before? I've heard that since SC2 that the general skill level has increased since most garbage players migrated to SC2. I was definitely garbage at broodwar because I never had what it took to practice the game seriously, but playing against bots is pretty boring.
My average APM level dropped from about 220ish to about 100-110 ish in games against bots. Is anyone else in a similar situation maybe interested in playing games with me to get up to snuff (by snuff I mean back to a terrible D level) I know I would just get dominated on ICC right now and I don't remember much about specific builds other than like a 1 gate goon FE or 2 base reaver or the TvP flash build and I remember the ayumi build for TvZ as well.
I can't run SC2 on my computer so migrating isn't really an option. I've been watching some BW games recently and I'm interested. Is it worth the bother?

imo iccup level's about the same as it was, at least til c, where it starts becomes easier than it used to be

I'm not sure iccup got harder. I've been playing BW again after a long time of sc2 and I'm doing much better than I ever have (still awful but I'm getting closer to D+ than I did before  ). Maybe thousands of games of sc2 helped my mechanics or the race switch helped, idk.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "worth the bother" though. If you have fun, you can keep playing and if you dont, you can stop. =)

Glgl on ICCUP though, i've been wanting to get into it myself (i'm fairly new to BW = i'm complete and utter shit) just because my computer atm has some issues so SC2 is a lil' bit too heavy weight, and BW is like a paper plane compared to SC2, which is a jumbo jet.
Unfortunately, when I went to ICCUp's website I saw I had to download and stuff? Wut? Technology???? i'm out.

One reason is that fish has like 40k+ user online during korean hot hours, and iccup has what? 600-800? This makes finding games way easier.
Another reason is that nobody can take the current iccup head administation's kindergarten attitude seriously.

to answer your question, iccup is probably easier now since there almost no koreans left on the server. I played to C+ and I only had to play 3 koreans on my way to that ;\ made it cake walk compared to a year ago.

Depends when you play too. I played pretty late at night like 2-3 am and played a lot of koreans actually. And some of them were good like former b's from other seasons.
