Why should you have a Computer on your Living Room, Lounge or Hall and be happy.Imagine this,With this.
I'm thinking about a way to mix up your computer life with your "social life" or "real life" (Wich is a very vague name for it).
Having Xbox, Computer, Playstation 3, Karaoke, Seats, Dancehall, Dubstep, Beers, etc.
Whoever goes to your place will have a very good time, even If they don't really do the same thing as you (Play StarCraft 2, BroodWar, or whatever PC game).
Right now I'm thinking about it and my computer isn't on the living room, so If somebody have tried that please share your thoughts.
I'll be updating this soon!!! Gotta go to my "Real Life", lol bbq jajajajaja.
Cya, Drakan.

I guess that's true, but then you might be tempted to watch tv while gaming at the same time, and then it's just too much ><

I always have my TV on, because I just like having the extra noise in the background. It's calming.

It's in the kitchen for me. I'd rather have it in my room but the rents insist...

That's cool & awesome.
But what happen when having girlfriend, wife, women (or men in case of female players) that share the place with you everyday for the rest of your life (or maybe that's what you think at that exact moment lololol bbq forever alone).

Just having party with your friends and your girls'friend and every kind of friends... Having a plasma to watch the GSL while the Dubsteb is sounding at the background and that house with some friends playing, dancing, drinking.
Having a good time.
Mmmm, I'll update it in the week.

Ah, got it yeah. My parents just want to monitor me. And dunno.
But the concept of having ones computer in a public area is a good one.

I wish that I could. I miss having the machine in my living room, but I would have to move my piano now and that is not happening.
I had it in the living room at my old house and it was cool sometimes but not cool other times. I am used to be able to hide away in my office now and work or play. I think overall I am fine where it is. I do have a comp hooked to the tv though for warpprism-ing and watching Day9 and all, but it is not good to play games on.

No porn, no way. Allllls you gotta say.

MMMmmm... but guys... Don't miss the point.
You can still have a computer on your Room or Whatever :D. Two computers maybe (AMD is way cheaper than Intel this nowdays for desktop parts, prove me wrong cost/benefice).
Porn Maybe :D and be happy, go for more pc's

I will do as OP said in his post if only I'm living alone. :D

Isn't that the whole basis behind an HTPC? It's pretty common to have a computer in the living room these days, but I would think that playing SC2 while your friends over doesn't always aid the social atmosphere.

I recently moved into an appt with just 1 roommate from a house with multiple roommates. it is a two story appt. loft, and right as you walk in the door all you see is a TV, Monitor, and desk! its so nice having it not in a room, the windows, atmosphere, its awesome! at first i wanted it dead center in the living room area we have, but that got denied D:
I highly recommend it assuming your in a situation where its viable!

i have my computer right next to the couch facing it, i can see the TV without turning my head the slightest, and i can talk to whoever is on the couch (behind the screen) easy to connect PC to the tv and setup for movies etc, and fantastic when friends want to see me roflstomp newbs

I live with my parents and have been doing this ever since I got my own laptop. If I would be sitting in my room I would see my parents like 2 hours a day or something lol.

Yeah, the idea is that the Host shouldn't play Starcraft 2 eventually, but other friends might... or maybe just to use it as a DJ Mixer :D.
There are many many uses for a computer on a living room & there is no need to give more importance to it than the huge TV or the couches, or the table with something to eat (fries, salad and all that stuff), or to the place to play cards or whatever.
I'll work on this blog later on hahahaha gotta ask some question to a friend.
Thanks for the feedback
