My last teaching job did not go so well on day one. So I decided to go for a more....slow but steady approach.
Recently, I signed a contract to work for a company that is not too far from where I am. The position I signed up for is a Customer Interaction Associate, which is surprisingly a bit different from Customer Service Representative since I basically am more along the lines of doing both troubleshooting and tending to the consumers needs. As for the product that I will work with, it's a friggin Nook. I never knew those things existed until recently. When I first saw the gadget, I think: iPad clone that can only do e-books. Took the liberty of doing some research and I guess it's an alright piece of hardware if you like reading.
My plan is this: I will start out as a call center agent, though in time I might rise up to become a trainer. That way, I can definitely put all the teaching skills I have acquired to good use. Depending on the circumstances, especially since the company also has a university which offers courses for college graduates who have worked for th company for at least a year, I might soar to even greater heights. Who knows, maybe the information I have acquired in my current job will land me a college teaching position since that is what I have always wanted.
Anyways, upon reviewing my contract, my pay isn't exactly much, but it will have to do to support my own needs, including my hunger for gaming. I mean, with two particular Blizzard titles coming up possibly next year, I got to save up as soon as I can.
That's all I gotta say for now. Wish me luck guys and GLHF (again)!

I always start out with those "ill become a trainer then coach then management" dreams when I start at a new callcenter, but lets be honest; you'll quit in afew months. Its going to be a shitty job, like all callcenters are.

Good luck! Hope you make it far

It's funny how similarly you worded that a couple of months later lol.
What was your bachelors in?

An Education major, man. That was an odd choice of words looking at my previous blog, XD
Anyways, this job's pay is slightly higher and it's different from the job in which I studied for back in college. But it's damn close to where I live. :D

It's gonna be a crappy job, alright. Though at this point, I don't have any reason to be picky. Hopefully with diligence and determination, I might last til I become a regular.

Decide you will get the job you want. Don't let your circumstances or environment dictate your attitude. If you bring a positive attitude to work every day and on a daily basis you focus on improving at what you do, your pay will increase and you will move up the ranks. Most people get paid just enough so they don't quit and do just enough work so they don't get fired. The key is to get extremely good at what you do. When you get really good at something you become difficult to replace and the need for what you do increases (Since your work is more differentiated from most employees). This formula will increase your income and lead to promotions. Also, when you have a positive attitude no matter how you are treated, it will begin to rub off onto other people and their attitudes will improve. This is the source of envy for numerous individuals, which will help you get the support and promotions you want.
