DexVitalitY’s Starcraft 2 Tip of the Day
http://dexvitality.blogspot.com/
So I thought if I were to start writing some daily stuff to help everyone who even takes the time to read my blog to (in the words of Day9) Be a Better Gamer.
The tips will range from really simple things to slightly more advance macro/micro tips.
You may think to yourself, don’t be stupid Dex, I know your tip of the day. And in response I will say this: You will be amazed at how many people know about the game of Starcraft 2, but the application of this knowledge is what sets the difference between a Bronze and a Silver and a Silver from a Gold etc...
A little bit about me and Starcraft 2.
For me I am a Masters - level Team player and (at the moment) only a Diamond player (Masters no problem, I just need some time to grind out some ladder games). Don’t believe me? Check it out for yourself:
I was within the first 50 people to make it to Masters 2s 3s and 4s in SEA. Former Top5 in 2s, Top25 in 3s, and Top20 in 4s.

Alright, with all of this out of the way lets get on with the Tip of the Day #1
Tip #1
Workers - Probes, Drones, and SCVs
Starcraft 2 is all about managing an economy and workers are the central core. The workers are the most important unit in the game.
the GOLDEN RULE:
Always, always, always be making workers. For everyone who is having trouble moving up the ranks of what is the Starcraft 2 Ladder. You need to make into a habit, constantly making workers, you will find that this will open up possibilities you may have never imagined possible.
If you already know this and have a habit of constantly making workers? Here is the next step.
As you play more you will get a feel for when you will stop making workers, when you have a good amount. Find this point in the game and try to make it consistent.
Example.
For me when I play 1v1, my main race is Protoss. And I will be constantly making probes up until just a few minutes after I get my 3rd base up. I have found through practice that my worker count will always hover between 74 and 75 probes, not more, not less.
