Hey there reader,
I'm working on a fairly interesting project. First of all, I'm going to Korea in 7 days and thats enough of a huge project in itself. However soon after I arrive in Korea I want to have an event where as many streamers as I can get will stream with me to provide Charity. For this event I already have a backer to provide however much the "best" streamer makes and to provide that much extra. So that event will be really cool, where the best streamer of that time gives to charity and someone else gives that same ammount. Which is going to hopefully be alot for a charity considering everyone else streaming that day will also be giving to charity. However thats not really want I want to talk about here...
Although I'm working on that post slowly the idea just really has me. I really want to do something like this earlier. I don't want to work to have it advertised, I just want to do it. I just want to wake up 2morro find a few people to help me out online, or really whoever and just stream till I drop from exhaustion and just give that to charity. It won't be backed by anyone and I won't be asking others to stream with me, but I just really want to do this.
I did a charity event for Day9 a month or two ago and then TLO did a charity for Doctors Without Borders. I feel like TLO copied me and my idea! Thats great though because its such a cool idea and he managed to raise so much for DWB. However I want the title as most donatingist streamer out there. I want to go for 25 hours, or just something more then TLO. I think its just pride, but I really want to do this lol. So I geuss the point of this post here is, me building up confidence to say tommorow I'm going to stream for Charity all day! And hopefully until I passout of tiredness! I will start at 9AM EST.
Also I havn't really decided which Charity to go for 2morro. I can do a charity for something like the Red Cross, Japanese hunger or Doctors without borders like TLO. All of those options seem like they would help the most people. However I've never really been a fan of giving to those organizations simply because I believe alot of the money is given to CEO's or just used improperly to give to the needy. I'm sure there not all bad and most are nearly all good, but its just a deep seated fear I have of giving to charities.
So another option I could do, would be to help out E-Sports. I could do something like "Donations for TSL #4" And try and sponsor TSL 4 Partly off of 2morro. TLO Made like 2k+ if I made somewhere around 2k, I could perhaps get us TSL 4 within weeks from now. How cool would that be? Or instead how about I donate it to a Gamer related charity, like Child's Play. As I love games and would hope other gamers wouldn't abuse money. Either way tomorrow I will wake up and try and stream for as long as possible. I'm not going to advertise it like TLO did and I'm not going to expect too much. However I hope that I can make a small difference and have fun with everyone in the process. Here's to tomorrow for as long as I can go.... and to w/e Charity u guys vote for! <3, Sheth
P.S. TLO's record is going down!
P.S.S I changed the poll to remove TSL #4. I just wanted to see the initial reactions about that and I do agree completely that its much better to donate to a Charity then to a Tournament. As of now 99 Doctor's Without Borders 42 Child's Play 5 Write Your Own Response --

gonna be sick yo you should go for 48 hours like you said on stream :p
|
Anything but TSL4 imo. The gospel of E-sports is getting a little out of hand if it's being elevated past medical care for citizens of 3rd world countries or helping less fortunate kids. Thanks for doing this, man! I wish more people gave to charity.
|
<3 Sheth, my hero. A role model in this community, a scholar and a gentleman!
|
Great idea!
You may want to hype it a little more before you go for it, just to get some more momentum. Try to beat TLO in more than just duration, but perhaps money raised as well?
|
How many bottles of water could you buy with the proceeds?!
|
Can i first of all say you were the nicest person on the planet, you are now the nicest person in the universe!! :DDD
I voted for childs play. I think that it is a really worthwhile cause, and to be honest they are all epic.
Well played sir. Well played.
|
Yay Shet i'll make sure to tune in even if i'm not watching !
Concerning the organization you shoud give the money to...it's a hard question and i think you are the only one that can make it right. There are so many charity out there that needs donation, you have to give the money for something that you deeply care about ! If it was me i would probably donate it to the palestinian red cross, but i voted Child's Play since it looks like having something that involves video games is important to you.
As much as i love TL and the TSL, i don't think it needs donation from the members, lately esports have been attracting some interest and the sponsors are out there.
edit : donate all the money to one charity, it's more efficient imho !

Own response: World Food Foundation or perhaps CharityWater

Thanks Pdizzle, I think 48 would be too much! Nbaker, in theory I can't agree with you more. Why would donations for E-sports ever be more important then feeding the hungry or healing the sick.
I can't really disagree with that. However on a gaming website, playing a game and streaming this game, I'm sure what a lot of the people here want to see is for gaming. They want better games, and more entertaining games. Voting for TSL 4 clearly won't heal the sick, but perhaps it'll entertain more people who while feeling positive will donate more to charity. All I know is that if this was about demographics I'd wager more people here care about E-sports then Hunger. Thats not a good thing, but I don't know how to fix it. This is my baby step and hopefully more people want to feed the hungry and heal the sick.
However if more people want to see TSL 4 or help out with Child's Play, I wouldn't begrudge them. Its their opinion. We'll see how this poll goes, I'll be watching it until tonight when I go to bed. 2morro morning right when I wake up, whichever is #1 on the poll will be it. <3
P.S. LOL at all the Water comments! Doctor's Without Borders is leading right now. Hopefully it keeps up, I love that charity, here check it out Doctor's Without Borders
|
TSL4 isn't a charity. It will be sponsored by a company and therefore will not need money.
|
Child's Play is a great charity!! GL HF!!!!

I wish more people gave to charity. That's a problem with capitalism and esp. American capitalism, who our wants are valued more than others needs. Because we have to deal with that as a given, the question comes down to what we want more. I voted for DWB btw, just cause I feel like TSL4 will happen regardless.
|
mb you can do a charity event for TLO's hands then u could both do charity events in future ! <3
|
Having watched Penny Arcade a lot and seen how even though Child's Play doesn't physically heal someone, I really think the mental/emotional healing that it seems to give children is a valuable thing. It's an awesome gaming related charity, and you should TOTALLY chose it! :D
|
Any scheduled start time for this or just when you feel like waking up?
|
The Red Cross has had its share of funding issues in the past with money sometimes not getting there...
if things like that are of concern, why not consider making the drive for a local charity near where you live? It doesn't have the glam of RC or DWB, but you'll be able to see what you donate be put to use.
|
<3 hopefully there will be much more of such events in the future!
ESports com is just great! Keep going Sheth and good luck in Korea! Hopefully FXO does well!

Great idea man! I commented towards you and in regards to this on twitter! Let me know if I can do anything & good luck! <3

I will start at 9AM EST!
Hawk thats not a bad idea, but I don't know any local charities, and I've heard only good things about DWB and Child's Play.
I hope so too Zulu

That seems kinda soon, don't you want to hype it or something for more viewers?
|
This is a great move Sheth, I love having your stream up on my 2nd monitor at work, I am really looking forward to work tomorrow now. Don't go too all-out on this though, get your stretches and breaks in, you don't want to finish so close to TLO in the injury department!
|
Google some food banks where you live, homeless shelters, stuff like that. Even stuff like a local soccer or baseball league could use the funding.
DWB i've only heard good things about though
and I agree about the time, def don't go 9 am EST, esp if you are gunning for US users primarily.

Nope... I'm going to be doing another one in the near future, and I'll put alot of work into hyping that one up. This one is just something I now have a burning desire for. If I have alot of viewers great, if not ... well such is life. I'm hoping that see'ing my name streaming all day and simply doing it for charity will be helpful. =)

Well its going to go full circle and thats when I usually start. Its going to go through 7pm - 7am EST as well.. so it'll get to a good point

Hey Sheth I think this is a great idea. I'm not sure if that poll is just a screen cap from stream or a live poll, but I would vote for MSF. (Doctors without borders.) I think as far as charities go they are pretty good about properly allocating money, and they are great so far as being non-discriminatory.
Edit: voted
|
Child's Play, as you've noted and RedJustice said as well, is a great choice for revenues from streaming Starcraft. Professional gamers help poor and sick children forgetting about their struggles for some time. I like that a lot. Just be sure to advertise your charity-stream in advance, so many people will be able to watch it. The more people watch, the more money will be raised (and the more action will be going on in your chat ).
No matter which option you pick - keep in mind, that everything is better than doing nothing. You're doing something good! Great! Enjoy your streaming-marathon. I'll be there!

Awesome man, you're a baller! Will definitely watch as much of it as I can!

Make-A-Wish foundation is a very good charity,
If you havent heard of them they give very sick children and give them one wish they want, one kid actually went to blizzard and they let him design his own quest in WoW (Its a quest the tauren starting zone)
|
Nice to see Sheth. Keep it up! :D
|
Any money raised for any of these organisations is worthy in my opinion. Money going towards the furthering of Esports will just mean more events like this one will be possible in the future. It is fantastic that a platform such as streaming is being used in this way and I will most certainly have the stream open all day. Good luck Sheth, you are the man!
PS, TLO totally stole your idea

100% of all money donated to charity:water goes to building wells and sources of clean water for people who no access.
All of their administrative costs and credit card fees are covered by other sponsors, so you know if you donate $100 then exactly $100 goes directly to the project.

Props Sheth.
I'm a big fan of microfinance organizations myself, maybe look into those.
|
Hey Sheth will be there a donate link for a paypal as well as ad revenue? I'd like to donate.
|
Sheth, First--you're awesome. Second--this is only my opinion here but I would charge you to find a great domestic (USA) charity. I'm afraid if I write too much of an opinion I'll be sure to get flamed hard. Anyway--http://www.houseofcharity.com/ is a great organization.

A donate link for paypal.. I'm sure if its DWB I can simply find you a link to donate with paypal to DWB. If you want your amount totaled to the grand amount we all make together you can donate it to my paypal so I can add it up. However that sounds kind of sketch I know, so if at all worried just send it through to DWB! I'm sure our total amount will be pretty good^^ <3
|
Both charities are very exceptional. I personally know that every single cent going to Doctors Without Borders is literally worth human lives.
|
Great idea Sheth, keep the donations in the name of gamers going! It was great when Blizzard started going the "buy a WoW Pet money goes 100% donation" always contributed to those causes.
DWB sounds pretty good after reading about them. Here is the link for anyone interested. http://www.msf.ca/about-msf/
Ps - Is there anything I can do to help, other than just watching? (Barring donations obviously)
PPS Sheth- When I get famous enough I'll be looking to break your record ^^
|
Child's play it up. You should do some SC2BW matches too with some former sc:bw foreigner pros too.
|
|
Free Software Foundation
Without them, teamliquid as we know it would be impossible. esports as we know it would be impossible. Our whole computer based life life would look a lot different.
|
DWB I think, but Child's Play is also fantastic. Thanks for doing this.
|
48 hours XD crazy mofo. can you make sure you ladder all day? no weird team games.
|
Sick, you hinted to this on the stream. It's darn awesome.
|
Why not donate to both, based upon the proportion of votes they got?
|
I have personally dumped most of my donations to Wikipedia so far, and will continue to do so in the future, so that's what my vote is. =)

Imbecile -- Interesting.. will look into that for future events!
Golg -- I don't know if I can do 48 hours lol, just however long I can xD
|
Donate half to one, half to the other. Seriously, we need more of these donations so e-sports can grow off these things.
|
great idea. dont think you should do DWB just cos tlo did it. any charity event is good though
|
just be sure to drink plenty of water, and try to be careful, sometimes these things can go wrong! only you know your body so yeah! best of luck to you.
|
The English language is incapable of describing Sheth's awesomeness adequately.
|
Since TLO already gave to DWB I would like to think that giving it to the other charity would be a sweet thing to do since the TL community already has given for that cause. Therefore I voted for childsplay. This is a great initiative though!
|
I voted for Child's Play, because they're a great choice to donate to, but donating 50/50 would be an even better option, and would benefit everyone :D!
|
Someone should make a bot that refreshes the stream every few minutes / every ad end so we can get the max amount of moneys for the charity run :3
The question is, does the initial stream tune in ad support Sheth or JTV?
|
People competing over who can donate the most money to charity... amazing I voted for DWB, but I think that a shared donation would be a better idea, 50/50 or however you would see fit to divide it up!
|
United States2095 Posts
50/50 ... interesting idea.. Alot of people seem to think thats a good point. I wish I could find a way to add to the poll without destroying the old one! Maybe I'll add a second one.... AND ALL MONEY will go to the charity. I'm not going to take any silly sea monki
|
Hey Sheth! Don't forget that information I need
|
|
hopefully jtv doesnt run out of commercials for you again tomorrow haha. i'll be sure to keep your stream open all day!

Awesome way to help Sheth ! (yes u too TLO :D ) Hopefully more pro gamers will try to help foundations in the future too !

The question is, does the initial stream tune in ad support Sheth or JTV? Or how about NOT cheating, cuz streaming services prob dont like it that much, but you prob would want more pros earn money through streaming, right?
|
This is an awesome idea, you should try and get Destiny involved, IK his stream gets a ton of viewers and I am sure one day of no revenue wouldn't be to hard for him. IK he has a kid and stuff though so he probably needs the money he makes to support his family. Just an idea though
|
Will def 100% be turning on this stream be4 i leave tomorrow and will keep it on as long as sheth is on. its amazing that people are willing to do this off their Esports fame.
imagine if NFL players or basketball players said "all money i made this week goes to X charity".
but no our esports famous are even more giving than them.
go go go Sheth. I hope u beat TLO's 24 hr marathon and then i hope some1 beats urs then u have to beat it again until one day we have a pro who streams for 72 hours straight... lol jk. but seriously these are awsome that pro's are willing to do this. big and many <3's

I'll be sure to join you for this grat event!! Have no doubt that a bunch of other people who loves u as much as me will too ♥
And BTW i don't really understand why Huk calls u a copy cat, as u were the one who started the donation thought in your donation to day9 as far as im aware..
Actually i remember Huk simply writing "Gay" to TLO's donation thing on Facebook when he first saw it so guess he just isn't a guy for these donations
|
Sheth you are a baller sir ^^
|
Child's play is an amazing organization, please choose them, it's much more related to e-sports
|
No, One bigger ammount is better for E-Sports I thought that objective of the charity was to help improve their quality not of ESPORTS...!
My opinion is that the charity should go to Child's Play since TLO already done one for DWB. Lets help others too.
|
|
gogogo sheth!!
I will definently be tuning in and watching AS MUCH as possible during the time!
|
I'll tune in with all the PCs I can get my hands on.
|
This is a great idea. Voted for Child's Play, since that organization has been the flagship for gamer charity for a few years now, and really doesn't have all the fat that other charities seem to have. Looking forward to the epic stream. Bring lots of Bawls!
|
Child's Play is awesome. Donate to Child's Play please! (And voters look it up before you vote!)

Donate to Greenpeace, PETA or The Sea Shepherd imo Great idea though, I'll be tuning in!

From a smart business-mind perspective... I absolutely do not understand the whole "I am not going to advertise it anywhere" mentality...
GL but there will be a ton of people who have no idea what you are doing tomorrow.
|
Man, I think this is so awesome. Sheth, you're such an awesome player and such an all-around good human being, I'll be tuning into this for sure... maybe I can figure out some things before the GeForce Pro/Am!
Sheth Hwaiting!!

If only everyone else in the world was like you...

|
Nice thanks for your awesome job, guess I'll be waking up early to pop on your stream to help you out as much as I can
|
Sheth, if you're ever in Australia, and you want to see the west-coast, hit me up. You're the nicest person in the scene, by far. I love your stream. Unfortunately, it starts at around 9-10pm for me, and I have the unfortunate task of earning a living
As for the choice of charity, I would like to sing praises of a mob like Childs Play. Of course it was a completely different organisation that helped me out, but when I was about10, or 11 I spent 2-3 weeks in a childrens ward here in WA, and get this.... THEY HAD A SUPER NINTENDO!! That was soooo cool to me. I had one at home, but for me it was one thing that made me forget that you're stuck inside this 15x15 childrens ward without the option of going outside for 3 whole weeks. Could even be why I'm such a big gamer now...?
Regardless of where the money goes, you're doing a great thing.
I have one request.... You have to badmouth someone on stream.... Legitimately.... For charity....!
|
make this a featured event!

To Sheth, I always watch your streams, what about http://www.ccfoa.org/.
I had cancer when I was a child and would love support for another Children's Cancer charity!
That was not the Charity that helped me, because I'm Irish! But, that a US charity Ive heard good of!
Thanks
Ps YOU IS GREAT!
|
I'm in the "anything but TSL4" boat. I love TSL4 and all, but I think we need to wait longer to keep it prestigious, as well as it's not a charity and will likely have sponsors cover the majority of costs. I don't know a whole lot of charities, but out of the main two you mentioned I would say to go with DWB. Great thing you are doing here Sheth, gl and hf!
|
This Star Won't Go Out Foundation helps families who have a child with cancer to help pay bills and other household expenses due to the gigantic hospital and medication costs. They're a small organization, and they need more people to know about them.
|
Looking forward to the 72 hour stream! I'm rooting for you!
But seriously, good to see a lot of the top players doing these charity events, and for the player themselves, I'd say its a good test of stamina, since you're not guaranteed any sleep for the next MLG

Any charity events like this are fantastic! I lean more towards helping more instead of one larger amount. But you are the one putting the time into this so I think it should be more your choice.
...A future idea could be the Prostate Cancer Foundation. With the majority of the esports scene populated by males, I just figured this could be a good charity to support in a future fundraiser.
Best of Luck

Awesome! Great initiative, things like this make ESPORTS a lot more credible, I love seeing such great things coming out of the community!

I would like to suggest the Make a wish foundation
If you want to know more about it clicky clicky http://www.wish.org/about/our_mission
In short this foundation grants 1 wish to children with life-threatening medical conditions no matter how small or how big the wish is these kids will get it! Just to give them a day without worries and put a smile on their face
|
Great initiative. Still, don't do it for e-sports :/. I mean it's all good, but that's not really a charity, making a tournament for sc2 lol. Especially since one sponsor can take care of that easily. Do it for kids or something...who wouldn't want to help kids in need.
I'm having a packed days right now and some health problems, but I'm gonna tune in if it's for the right cause.
PS: Does leaving the stream on defeat the purpouse of this? I'm in a time crunch :/ Doing that I could be on stream much longer than just an hour or so.
PPS: I have a suggestion. Have you thought about allowing people to send their money in? This way you could beat TLO with ease I think.
|
I was watching a charity stream once, I forget whose exactly, but it was gaming related. Someone asked the streamer why they went with the charity they chose as opposed to Child's Play. The answer the streamer gave was that as great as Child's Play is, there are problems that deserver our attention more than whether or not children in first world hospitals have new toys to play with while receiving care. While it may come across as harsh, I believe that sentiment needs to be strongly considered.
|
Streaming for charity is a really cool thing. It would be more meaningful for you if you did it for something you're passionate about. What's an issue you are invested in or concerned about? Bigger charities have more infrastructure to turn capital into results, while smaller charities are often more transparent since a donation isn't as lost in a big pool.
I'd target a specific development issue or medical problem.
How about this? http://www.americaforpalestine.org/about-us
|
Wohoo Sheth! ^^ Looking forward to it man.
|
Sheth, you sir are one of the most awesome humans to ever walk this planet!
Both charities you listed are excellent organizations, but personally I would go for doctors without borders. but I'm sure you could donate to whoever the hell you wanted and it'd be well received by them and the community! GL sir!

Absolutely ^^ I'll add this to your wiki page to spread the word more <3
|
You should throw a chipin on your stream page as well to maximize the donations, let people donate and get ad revenue. Love your stream sheth, and also loving these charity marathons. Will be watching the entire duration that I am up.
|
Nice! u gotta break tlos' record dude!:D Awesome
|
I believe Doctors Without Borders is a really great charity organization.
I talked to some people who travel a lot (A LOOOT) and they donated to Doctors Without Borders (because they saw what those people do / how many people still have no medical care), and as I trust those peoples' opinions, I vote for Doctors.
Apart from that: <3 Sheth.
|
|
Donate to the people who lost their homes to tornadoes
|
Doctors without borders is the only charity i trust tbh, the others just seem to loose money left and right...
|
So what time does this streaming start? :D

If you don't donate you will be hurting the Foundation that Sheth is trying to help. What does ESports have to do with it?? Because gaming will be the 'way' not the 'end'.
|
oh shit! the battle of who is the nicest person in the sc2 scene SHETH vs TLO
|
|
Great idea this, however:
If you really want to earn money to charity you should team up with some fellow players and make some kinda event. Tournament, fun games(TL attack like maybe), anything really^^ This way it would be much more interesting for the spectators and it would probably attract more people. As far as i understand, the money earned is coming from adds on stream^^
Anyways, great initiative!
|
Awesome sheth!
Id like to suggest you donate to UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital. What they do is provide every child with whatever health care they need (major stuff) whether their parents can afford to pay it or not. Im pretty sure the entire thing runs off of funds and i think its 100% non profit donations but im not 100% on that. Anyway being a father that is not entirely in the best of financial situation its great to know there are places like this that would help my and other children out there.
Good luck and I will watch as much as possible, thanks to you, TLO and others that will follow ^^.
|
Flingoko that is happening at some point once sheth is in korea i think? but this is more of an impromptu event.
|
hey sheth,
Firstly youre awesome.
Secondly, i always feel benefits for children are the best, something that helps kids with disabilities, or children that are underpriveleged or abused. would make for a touching story, and hey, everyone loves kids : ) the more money to protect/help them, the better
|
I voted doctors with out boarders. and whichever is fine! I googled them both and like doctors without boarders by affiliation with teamliquid. But it actually seems like they both are good for ESPORTS ;p I'ts just good that people donate to help people in general. + Show Spoiler +You spelled ESPORTS wrong ;p Sheth fighting.

|
Big hearts to Sheth for doing this, gogo beat TLO's record. Sheth fightiiing!
|
This reminds me of Speedgamers. Anyone who hasn't heard of them should. They do long gaming marathons of popular games. They have a one week marathon coming up. Sheth have you made a decision yet?

Great work! I'll be watching for sure to show support! :D

Go Sheth! I wouldnt be too bothered about beating TLO. That was a one off thing and you are someone that continually gives to charity. Already a winner in my eyes!

50/50! seriously (imho) "it's better for eSports" is an awful reason to give at all! (and honestly, wouldn't "building prize pool for future tournaments" be "better for eSports"?)

I am just wondering if you could please donate at least 10% to MDA? That is Muscular Distrophy Association mate. I am someone who has been personally affected by muscular distrophy and I think it would be nice if you could give a bit to them

My work doesn't load up Commercials when Sheth does it. But a commercial runs when I start up the stream.
Therefore I refresh when Sheth says time for a commercial.

Nice initiative, gotta love Sheth!
|
Please do Unicef, they do a remarkable amount in a remarkable amount of countries and while Child's Play and DWB are great charities they both get a fair amount of fundraising from the gaming community and it would be cool to see a charity i'm a big fan of be on the receiving end of one of these things. They help children in situations varying from being homeless in countries without remotely capable social services, to dealing with orphaned victims of chernobyl with various radiation related diseases, to lobbying governments to allow refugee children to come to western countries after being victims of orphaning due to racial cleansing in africa and eastern europe, human trafficking and a whole host of other horrible issues.

I'd be excited to see a few SC2BW during the marathon. ^^. I'd donate say about 20 per GG. ^^
Excellent!!! SC2BW is on!!!
Also can anyone help on the donation side?? I'm on the DWB/MSF site and I can't see how Sheth can track the donations there? Should I just go through paypal?
Sheth is playing BGH!!! Can't watch too much during work hours though. Just hope I can get to see some of them!

Sheth, you make me want to finally pick a race. I think you can guess which one :D
Awesome game vs White Ra!

You should donate to Courage Center. It's a non profit rehabilitation and resource center for people with disabilities. They really do make a difference with the people they help.

Been watching for a few hours now!!! Awesome stream. I never really watched your stream before but you definitely earned a new fan today! Even though your an evil zerg (I'm toss) I love your style of play and outlook on the game. It's nice to see players be so mannered and take time to give back.
Doctors without borders is a great charity, and I am happy to support my .02 cents for every commercial. Much love for your stream, I will be watching in the future!
|
Dear Sheth,
I woke up this morning at around 10 EST. I was looking for a good stream to watch as I ate my breakfast. I watch your stream whenever I see it up and was excited to see it up today! Then I found out that you were doing a 24 hour marathon and I was so happy! I love watching your streams and I have been with you for 7 hours and plan on staying with you throughout the night. Keep on truckin' and keep playin those gamez!
Sincerely, Amateur
|
Keep up the good work Sheth. Watching at work and helping to support =)
|
Sheth,
I really enjoyed your stream today. I've been streaming all day at work today and thankfully it's been slow so I've caught mostly everything. To do charity work is terrific and i'm glad you're a supporter. If you're interested, look into "Extra Life," from the Children's Miracle Network. It's an annual 24 hour non stop gaming charity much like what you did today. For more details, check out http://extra-life.org/.
Thank you again!! <3
|
Hey, this is a really great idea. Its fun listening to you commentate, learning from your play, and supporting a charity all at the same time. I am definitely going to leave my computer on all night so you can get more money :D

Registered an account just to give thanks for your awesome stream today, Sheth. I've never seen people clamouring for ads before now and even I don't mind watching the same ad for a razor ten times an hour. You have exceptional manner and amazing play and I'm hoping to pick up as much as possible as a Platinum zerg. :D Your matches against Destiny are especially interesting and hilarious and I've been watching for seven hours now.
Keep it up, and good luck making it the entire 24 hours!
|
Sheth, you a shining example every gamer should strive toward.
While a fantastic player, it is your class and your respect for opponents and the game that truly sets a higher standard for pro players-- demonstrating that a pro gamer doesn't need to be juvenile, self centered or anti-social.
Best wishes and good luck.

I truly appreciate your personality as well as your willingness to do for others as opposed to for yourself. Good luck in the future as well and enjoy the good karma.

I've been quietly watching and I have to say that you sire, are a true inspiration. The fact you gave 25+ hours of your life to such awesome cause, I have no other words than these of respect and admiration. Admittedly, I've never really known you before, but after watching your stream - respect. More people should do that!

watched on pc for about 8 hours, even while entertaining guests and then left my iphone app on all night but since the ads don't run on iphone i don't think the $.0002 goes towards it ruining my battery to help drs w/o borders!

No, One bigger ammount is better for E-Sports (403)
^. LOL. You guys actually think it'll help e-sports in if you give DWB 2000 usd and CP 0?
I'd say it won't help esports however you split it...
|
Thanks for doing this Sheth. It's a good thing for eSports and it's always great to help people out. Not to mention it gave me something exciting to watch no matter what time it was during the day.
I was already a fan of yours but now I am a much bigger fan of yours. Nicest guy in SC2, indeed.
<3
Edit: Also I watched for a good 12 hours of it.

really enjoyed the stream. Good work Sheth!

I think Child's Play just because one it helps children around the world and two its right inline with e-sports and video games/gamers being good for society. Either is good though, just my thoughts on it. Hope you raise lots!! <3 Sheth aka Gentleman's Club CEO
|
Hey Sheth, Just made this account only for you ^^ You have the only stream which I really enjoy to watch. I was more then happy to see you online again, and even more happy that you did a 25 hour marathon :D Think I at least saw about 10 hours of it, and enjoyed it. The games with Nerchio, White-ra, Grubby and the others were great, monobattles were really funny. I laught so hard when you choised warp prism as unit. I hope that you raised a lot of money for doctors without border! Good luck with all your tournements and going to Korea! Keep it up! Greetings from topschutter
|
Watched the stream for around 12 hours on and off. Was awesome to watch and think it was really cool to see. Well done sir...Well done.
|
Great work again by the SC@ pro scene, also lots of thanks to the pros who made appearances on the stream.
Any idea yet how much money was raised?
|
Streaming for 24hrs is pretty unhealthy and might contribute poorly to the jet lag you're going to have to get over anyway. Are there other epic options that don't destroy your brain? TLO was blasting DuckTales and chugging coffee, which was fun to watch not because of the good Starcraft 2, but because I think people were expecting him to just snap pass out.
I think I'd rather pay to watch you take an account from Bronze and cheese for 12 hours straight and see if you can get Master's or something. Maybe only play Random or something? I dunno. But don't abuse your body like that we want to see you fresh and successful in Korea!
|
Sheth you handsome handsome baller. Fucking brilliant idea, let it be known that the SC2 community cares about charity. I swear to god this makes me so proud to be part of it, best of luck to you Sheth glglgl stay beautiful
