Edit: Ok yeah pokemon takes a little bit of skill but it's a completely different skill set (100% planning, the execution is simple enough for a 2 year old)

Also you goddamn cheater, everyone knows that Blaziken is banned. On June 14 2011 01:43 Najda wrote: Oh my god imagine if real pokemon battles were like this. It would be like adding an element of skill into the RPG. Or even just have a combat system more similar to Super Smash Brothers so it's a lot simpler to execute the (max of 4) moves that you taught each pokemon. There could still be levels obviously, and it would basically still do exactly the same thing. Edit: Ok yeah pokemon takes a little bit of skill but it's a completely different skill set (100% planning, the execution is simple enough for a 2 year old) Have you ever played/watched Pokemon competitively? It takes a whole new level of planning, strategy, and mind games that no two year old could ever comprehend.

As a turn-based RPG, it's one of the most deep and strategic games around. You realise pokemon is a game made so that 8 year olds can beat it, right?

If we are all going to imagine game that carter to individual preferences, what about the game which focuses on strategic coordinating for once rather than turn-based RPG with crappy coordinator system? :p

Though how I think it should be is as a VR MMORPG. Though it's going to take a few years before that can happen... -__-'

Only because you didn't know how to deal with it. :D There were/are a number of potent threats that can check or counter Scizor, on top of being solid team additions in their own right. Think Rotom-A, Gyarados, Zapdos, Heatran, and Magnezone (although the latter two had to watch out, lest they mispredict and switch in on a Superpower).

I see him sort of like Warp Gate tech. You can play around it, but every time you face it, you can't help but sigh a little bit, keke. Although, I had lots of fun making a smurf and abusing him myself I must admit. STAB+CB+Technician Priority Move with few resists is so fun. Baiting Heatran/Magnezone swaps into Superpower is also pretty satisfying, lol. I was also partial to Specsmence despite so many teams running Stealth Rock. Ah, good times.

But Scizor is the cornerstone of my main team, and fifth gen introduced this Fire/Ghost Pokemon called Chandelure, and it has the Shadow Tag ability. So if that thing switches in you're fucked (I also have Skarmory QQ). Every time I see a Chandelure in the team preview, I never leave my Scizor and Skarmory out for more than one turn. I'll switch into them as a counter, hoping my opponent switches into Chandelure, then I'm like "lol double switch" into Vaporeon ![]()

Lucario has Yun's moves, shoulder, sa2, TOO GOOD. Blaziken with the dan kicks made me lolllll that was amazing. edit: omg got it working with a TE stick. All the pokemon have like sf3 character moves, snorlax = hugo, ditto = twelve. gengar has yun's lunge punch, but lucario has the palm, etc. Heavy palm causes wallbounce, but I think you can only combo with fireball afterwards. Only some things are cancellable as I'm finding. this game is so sick. edit2: the more I play this game the more I love it. Gengar super puts bitches to sleep for free combo. His lunge can poison too. Blaziken and Lucario are definitely the best of the chars I've played so far, but the fire chicken thing slightly behind. Gardevoir looks pretty sick, as does the other plant with dhalsim's stretchy moves, but I havent mashed on them yet. so fun :>

![]() and im getting murdered by random gengar. random lunge punch poisons me and then airdash j.FP into a mixup of two more overheads or low. can't do anythign outside of random crossup bodyslams and c.LK megakick the purple blob's command grab does RIDICULOUS damage. and gardevoir is like mk9 raiden and ermac combined. gravity squeeze ball bounces, future sight is a good fireball to throwout and a cool looking teleport that leaves shadows around. the other fire pokemon not blaziken is like adon with a 1 button lightning legs. ton of stuff im still so confused by. like i saw computer do advancing guard, and me and my friend spent a good hr trying to figure out how. edit: crap forgot TE can work on this. was mashing around with keyboard ![]() i also felt so smart when i had mr. mime assist, called him out to block EVERYTHING my opponent did and then rested into max HP :D

Idk what pp or anything is lol the move list shows up for each character as you mouse over them on the character select screen. PP is meter, takes 100 to call an assist or do a super. You pick which assist you want by which button you press at the start of the round. If you pick no assist, you get 100 extra PP at the start. most the chars have some form of fireball, either with the qcf + P hadouken motion or with charge back, forward + P supers generally done by doing either 2x qcf or 2x qcb + P. Blaziken looks pretty godlike with firebreath zoning and hit confirmable super. Lucario and Gengar are pretty ballin too. I'm not sure how I feel about the fire chicken. Gardevoir has a pretty sick keepaway, she has the airdash and the teleports, as well as a bunch of fireballs. Not sure how to combo the wallbounce move she has though.
