Yesterday I played a ZvT in SC2 on its remake of LT. It wasn't a great game or anything, but my thought process during that game was really influenced by the ZvTs played by the Zerg twins in BW before they got kicked out from the match fixing scandal.
One of the last matches Yarnc played was this game on Judgement Day. Frozean opened 2rax into fac before academy to perform a 1base tank seige. Frozean manages to take out the min-only hatchery (Yarnc opened 3hatch with the second hatch at the min-only), but Yarnc gets his mutas out and a long drawn out fight happens in Yarnc's base. It was one of my favourite games on Judgement Day not only because tense low econ TvZs are rare in modern BW, but also because it was a game that really accentuated Yarnc's style.
Anyway, so onto that ZvT on SC2 LT.
My opponent spawned at 12...
... and I spawned at 6
I opened 15hatch and when the hatchery finished my opponent built a bunker at the edge of my creep. The timing was quite late so I only pulled three drones to chase away the scv. The scv ran away when my drones started nudging him, so it did end up being a fake bunker rush like I was expecting.
I didn't expect that he was opening reactor factory though, because I don't drone scout (a habit from BW I need to get over when playing SC2).
My initial zerglings scout the helions when they got to the Terran's base, but they all died while running back home.
You'd expect that I'd be able to block off the helions if I saw them running all the way across the map, but my Queen and I had a dumb moment and the helions ran right into my main. They only got one or two drone kills before retreating though, so it turned out a bit better than I thought it would.
I didn't lose many drones but the helions forced my drones to run around and not mine, which caused my tech timings to be behind. While my opponent was making helions from his factory, his barracks made a tech lab, and while I was recuperating from the helion raid he switched his factory and barracks again and started building tanks at a very early timing.
Meanwhile, I was mining gas with a low drone count and put up my spire as soon as possible. I skipped lingspeed and put up a fourth gas when I started my lair. The mentality that I must get out mutalisks on time even if I am economically fragile is something that carried over from BW.
My opponent was patrolling his helions on the edge of my creep for a while before this, so I knew making lings would be useless. Because he was simply patrolling, I knew he wasn't planning on running in again so I didn't build any roaches. He then brought his first tank and just seiged up way out of range of anything. When the spire finished I started +1 and started putting everything into mutas.
When his third and fourth tank came, he began shelling me. I made a second spine when he sat his first tank on my creep, and when he started to crawl his tanks into my nat I moved my spines back and apart to buy as much time as I could for my mutas.
The agonizing wait.
When I had six mutas I attacked his marines. He only had about 8, and the marines didn't have any of their upgrades done so I knew I could win easily. A few reinforcement marines trickled in, but it was too late and his seige failed.
When I killed all these tanks, I felt that I would win if I simply poured all my resources into mutas. When I got to his base I was able to dominate his barracks and factories for some time before he was able to get some turrets up. I also made sure to kill the tech labs on his factories to prevent any thors from coming out.
His last ditch effort.
It was a pretty silly game in diamond. He racked up a ton of minerals while he was seiging me, either because his multitasking was bad or because he became complacent when he thought he was going to win. Despite the rather lackluster nature of the game, I enjoyed it simply because it reminded me of some strange games I've played in BW, and it reminded me of Yarnc's game vs Modesty on Judgement Day. SC2 and BW are different games, that much is obvious, but when I spawned those mutas, I was thinking about Yarnc.
I would have definitely lost if he just put his money into barracks and rines, but people in diamond suck.

O LOL can you even constantly produce 2 siege tanks from2 fac and hav a reactored rax with 2 gas?
The last game I played that day was a ZvT on that grassy map where your nat is connected to your main on flat ground with a really close third. I forget the name. The Terran was going 1base, and I wasn't able to get my scouting drone in his base to see what he was doing, so I just went 2hatch muta while skipping lingspeed like this game except without any drone disturbances. I flew my mutas to the direction of his base when they spawned and they intercepted a dropship... then my opponent just gg'ed and left. I didn't even bother checking the replay for that game to see wtf happened because it was so dumb.

Yep.
2 gas gives 230gas a minute (approx). Tanks take 50s to produce (125 gas each). Minerals arent a problem for the most part. Fully saturated base with mules gives about 950ish minerals per minute. With 300 per minute going to tanks, that leaves you about 650 minerals left for marines. You could support 2reactor rax + non reactor rax (reactor rax produces about 5 marines a minute and non reactor rax 2.5 marines a minute).

You can support like 4 rax of hellion/tank on two base yes, Lz does the build against Protoss's on certain maps, never seen it against zerg though, its just begging to get muta'd to death.
