I booted up my compy, got my glass of water, sat in my comfy chair and was ready to rock when Xsplit informed me that I needed to upgrade. I was delighted as the new version was being touted as significantly improved for multi-core machines. My delight, however, quickly turned to dismay as StarCraft 2 attempted to load and then seemed to freeze and black out. After shutting it down and attempting to restart a couple times I discovered that SC2 just didn't like me any more. And by that I mean it refused to work under any circumstance what-so-ever. Quite upset, I attempted everything I knew, including repairing SC2, all to know avail.
Needless to say, the show consisted of me failing to fix my computer. Yesterday consisted of me re-installing a number of programs, one of which was StarCraft 2. My tests so far seem to have worked well, but we're going to have to see how it works out.
I'll be going live at 8 pm EST tonight, you should come hang out. You can find me in the Stream list here on TL, or you can just click here.
I'll be casting a couple games and doing a bit of analysis.
**EDIT**
What a fiasco. SC2 worked perfectly up until I started Xsplit. At which point it bugged out on me again. After try to fix the problem to no avail I uninstalled Xsplit and have switched to FMLE and VHSC to great effect. SC2 is in working order and I'm quite a bit calmer. I'll be working on figuring out how to get my overlays back up, but I should be up and running this Thursday.
