So basically, ask yourself about your losses. Did you scout poorly? Did you have a poor engagement and lost the entire army? Caught with your pants down while waiting for Storm to finish? Each of these questions has a different solution for improvement. For instance, you losing to cheese and pure marauder seems like poor scouting, so I'd say work on that or refine robo timing for Observer. I'd also reccommend watching 12 weeks with the pros, where known players provide a lot of insight into their thinking process, and watching streams, but trying your best not to be passive, and instead trying to think what you would do in that situation and why you think the programer did X. I know watching IdrA play helped me a lot in this sense...he can tell stuff by the amount of Marines he sees, gas timing, etc. TLDR: Conscious practice to overcome your flaws.

Watch your replays and try to find the reasons you lost, even the strategy forum can help you with that provided you put some effort beforehand. So basically, ask yourself about your losses. You can't just mass ladder/play tons of games and expect to improve. When you play you have to FOCUS ON IMPROVING. Watching replays and seeing your mistakes. Making a mental effort to say "I am playing this game to become a better player." Just playing the game without any emphasis on what you need to work on or a good mental focus on improving will not result in any change of skill.
