I woke up at 8 at night, had my coffee and my Rock and Roll-fix. Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen is a better combo than Marine Marauder, just so you know. Afterwards, I quickly launched Starcraft and began laddering. I only played one game, which I lost, before BP called me on Skype. He was about 18 beers deep, I would assume, judging from the slurs and unreal non-logic sentences that flew out of his mouth. The words and sentences of his were probably real happy to be able to leave that alcohol infested area. He managed to remind me, that not only did NASL start in a few hours but also State of the game and the GSL finals. Nestea and Inca battled it out and Nestea was able to clear a pretty magnificent 4-0 win. Inca decided to go for a "weird" strat where he went DT's 3/4 games which Nestea had no problem countering it seemed like. It was very one sided and made the whole final seem some what lame, but anything Starcraft is a good time. Congratulations to Nestea for winning his second GSL title. Zerg fighting!
Before that, I watched State of the game and the NASL. I'm a HUGE Idra fan so it's great fun to see him being a part of both shows right now. He's doing a fantastic job casting for the NASL. He's been guest-casting there all week which put a hueg smile on my face. First I was somewhat anxious about the whole deal since I figured he was going to critize most players and be really mean towards them and their play, but none of that has happened. He really is showing a strong posetive side of himself while casting and is being really friendly and nice towards everybody. Him and InControl seems to be great friends and always has great communication inbetween each other. Gretorp and Idra are getting along great as well. NASL is quickly becoming my favorit show to watch. I love that, pretty much whatever day it is, NASL is airing at night.
Laddering my way into proudness is something that happens to me nowadays on occation, not too often, but sometimes I get that extra "crack cocaine" feeling going in my blood when I feel I've done extra great. Last night I was able to beat a rank 7 diamond Terran on Shakuras and tonight I beat another diamond Terran on Scrap station. Now, having said that, both SP and SS are great maps for zerg, so maybe I shouldn't be doing backflips and silly dance moves just yet. The Shakuras game ended up being a 50 minute game that I feel I planned out great. I didn't want to take any chances since I felt the guy was a strong player (rank 7 diamond). The terran I faced on Scrap station did the normal terran build on that map. Or at least a build that makes sense and terrans do against me quite a bit. Cloak Banshee. I was able to scout a 2 gas opening in the begining which made me realize quickly what was going on. I had 4 queens waiting for him when he arrived, and thanks to my fast lair tech he never got to do any significant amount of damage. He choose to go for a somewhat late expo, which made my mutas so much more effective.
Now it's time to ladder again. I'm currently ranked 4 in platinum. Diamond shouldn't be too far away now.
Peace. -,-v
