Anyhow, this was inspired by this post: Where in the World is Tasteless and Artosis?
(Forgive me in advance for the largely Americentric post, since I know the TeamLiquid audience is international.)
The nostalgia bomb awakened good memories of being a kid watching all the Carmen Sandiego shows. From the PBS game show, "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?":
To the cartoon "Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?" on Saturday mornings on Fox:
(Trivia: the melody of the cartoon's opening song was taken from "Singt dem großen Bassa Lieder", from Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail):
To the second PBS game show, "Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?" (although, I didn't like this one all that much):
I liked the cartoon the most because it fleshed out Carmen Sandiego's personality. She thought of the world as her personal playground, taking whatever she wanted to wherever for her own amusement. It didn't matter - from pieces of jewelry, to entire buildings and monuments - she took what she wanted, and there was nothing that could stop her.
Now comes the question: if you could take/steal anything you wanted, haul it off to wherever for your own enjoyment, and get away with it, what would you take, where, and why? Scale does not matter. The only limits are your imagination.
For my part... well, I haven't thought that far ahead yet.
