Normally I'm not really into Facebook promo's. In general, I don't really use my time on liking different groups, companies or other obvious marketingprojects on Facebook. But I'll gladly do it when the cause is important enough.
And it is now.
Guys, this is William. He's 3 years old and has a braintumor. He's a part of a family on four people, where two of them are older brothers (one of them suffers from autism) and a lone mother. The family is from Australia, where your health insurance isn't free and that has a big impact on a family that doesn't have a lot of money.
His mother has signed William up for a competition on Facebook where thee customers at the Australian Credit Union will receive $25,000 to a project they wish to spend money on.
What do you have to do?
- Simple. "Like" her story on her Facebook page.
- Spread the word.
Why should I help?
- Because you don't need to invest more than 2 minutes of your time on this.
- Because you show a person who's having a tough time your support.
- Because you (hopefully) contributes to helping a person in position, where she needs all the help she can get.
Why do I do this?
Because I think there's more important stuff than using AUD $25,000 on renewing your bathroom, roof or something like. Because I think that a mother, who already has to children, one of them suffering from autism, deserves all the help she can get and I can help spreading the word.
This blog is inspired by the words of Phillip Rasmussen.
