4gate works for all 3 match ups :D
ahem. but yea. SO i don't get banned, you can just keep 4gating with intent to expo instead of finishing the game.
Eventually you'll feel somewhere it'll be safe to cut down gate numbers etc.
If you want to play it like a science, then I think that might be the best.

is it really that bad drone?
i just want some build orders to perfect vs the AI until i have them memorized obviously i have to practice to learn how to block stuff beyond that.

It's pretty bad. "Hey guys, bragbragbrag, but I'm bad, but condescending remark to opponents afterwards saying they're worse. Anyway I'm kinda' bad at SC2, but I actually don't really think that lol bragbragbrag opponents are inferior, but I AM actually bad, someone tell me how to be good."
Bad.

"Hello guys, I just started playing sc2 again after not having played at all since the beta. I feel really lost - I am in mid-diamond and try to copy build orders used by progamers for example the 3 gate sentry expand build for pvz, but I don't really know how to utilize sentries to defend vs roaches, for example. Could you guys please help me out with some staple build orders for each protoss matchup that I might be successful with / get to play mid game with before I attain deeper knowledge and better micro skills?"
that's what you're asking, the other 4 paragraphs are just fluff explaining how special you are..

Like in BW if i was going to incorporate a new build order into my arsenal I would either invent it or copy it from a replay writing down the exact numbers when I should build what and then I would practice vs the AI until I had the numbers down exactly memorized in my head and then I would pound the ladders using that build in every game until I knew exactly what I would do in every situation.
It's just like... the only way i know how to practice and I really just feel completely lost in sc2 having no ground to stand on. =\

This guy invented the Stove? He is my hero.

I was just really proud of being #14 on that ladder and I wanted to give an introduction of sorts so people feel like they get something out of reading my blog besides just asking for advice.
note taken on me being a douchebag in all actuality though lol.

not the stove, that was invented by masturnate and then popularized by proct. the royal stove is a followup to the stove where you also make a dark archon to steal scv and build tanks.

also the best part about sc1 was chatcrafting
are there cool channels to hang out in on sc2?

nope, they eventually added channels but they just suck. :'(

you bet! and they even pop up to notify you of their activity.
neat huh?!

i know a guy played 126 6 pools in a row...made high diamond
imo sc2 almost requires both players to agree to forego the early game in order to get out the macro hammer....nobody sees a zerg third at 7 minutes and says "oh no he has forced me into a macro game..." knowing this made me a lot more comfortable with playing both low and high econ games....its seems to be a part of sc2 that early pressure isnt so all in and is very very viable
also...i havent anwsered your question directly but this just occured to me as important so take it for what its worth
sometimes in the midgame and most definately in the late game killing scvs is not necessarily a good idea...i have found and analyzing my replays has beared this out, if you kill scvs at the wrong time terran will get stronger because at later stages of the game the supply is more valuable than the scv income because of mules sooooo dead scvs become marines and if terran manages to convert his scvs this way you will almost assuredly lose.
when i had 100 or so games and probably less rts experience than you i was asking the same question and day9 told me how foolish i was. i wont call you foolish at all but i will say that i would be very wary of anyone telling you that a build is safe or op or whatever against a matchup
that being said i like the matchups games to follow something like this...be as build ordery as you can and you can add the psy numbers you like
i play zerg
against p: map dependent i want to open hatch first. if protoss neglects to block i most likely will hatch first around 14-15 and then immediately pool gas around 21. otherwise i still like the 14pool 16 hatch a lot of people played in beta but im beginning to switch that up and get the hatch later but after earlier gas which i get only if im not scouting a 4 gate in which cause i say fuck the gas the go hard as a mf'er on lings and deny an easy pylon (maybe spines too if i catch it late) anyway if the 4 gate comes and i survive i expo to a third and drone to like infinity....if i was gettting like 3 gate sentry pressure and ive scouted the expo i get roach warren before lair (setting all the burrow timings off so i look for a faster spire ) and third maybe fourth hatch is coming very soon...after base is starting to make you nervous EXPLODE onto all gases and max your army over and over and over to shut down 2 base bull and deny a third...be creative ultras needs love too
vs t: very different matchup...way more multitask going on. i like to game to start with an early hatch but if i cant or the map is wrong 14g14p speed builds are pretty safe and give you great map control. i threaten a lot against terran and pretty much just do that 3 hatch muta build with lings and blings. you want upgrades for ground and air so much so if you dont beat terran on upgrades you are screwed. denying a third can be hard to impossible but before you can get to that point in the game you have to defend the 2 rax pressure expand thing they do now. you really dont need speed and drones are very important....if you survive the terran harrass in the end you need broodlords and the viking count shouldnt be a problem unless you made your broodlords and gave terran time to make vikings...
vs z...lol overpool and put lings and spines in his base....100% win rate!!! jk no hatch first bannalings make you crazy strong against lings roach hydra beats roach unless roaches outnumber the roach hydra by alot...infestor roach is basically the end of your tech path unless opponent goes mutalisk? its really np to deal with though...
alternatively go 4 hatch before lair mass ling straight to ultralisks/muta against protoss or terran it works and its funny but your micro needs to be baller to avoid losing lings

I am more curious whether or not your actually in the Vatican City.

If you been here so long why do you not know just use liquipedia o_O
Your feeling of being lost ownt go away just because you know some build orders, that will only come from experience and your game sense gets better. Till then you just have to put in the time.

I think the race wars link would do some good here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=88624
lul.
On March 19 2011 22:58 Seide wrote: If you been here so long why do you not know just use liquipedia o_O Liquipedia honestly isn't that great for build orders, as stuff changes too quickly and it takes too long to write a good page on a new (common) build. All the stuff on there--at least, for zerg--is old build orders from late 2010.

CrownRoyal revived the Stove, and created the Royal Stove. He froze half a Terran army and stole the Terran's technology for his own. He then lost everything, said he should have won, and then left without a gg - a true Protoss warrior!! For your efforts CrownRoyal, you have won the Race Wars for being the quintessential Protoss player!! Congratulations!
something to brag about ? i dont know! :D

I don't really think you can replicate a strategy as bad as the stove in sc2 lol.
void ray > expand > dt > mothership? idk.
if any of you still play BW i have an idea to make the stove actually a lot more viable though
i wish there were shield batteries in sc2
