I think: PvP you should 4gate in a way so warpgates + your 2nd-4th gate finish at the same time, unless you see your opp take 2nd gas and/or not saving chronoboost (for warpgates). that's the only really "safe" build... PvT you can 1) 3gate expo with some gateway unit pressure (careful about banshees) 2) 2 or 3 gate robo (variable order) for obs and expo off that, standard mid-lategame is colo-->storm PvZ 1) sentry expo, which is gate gas core gas#2 zeal gate gate... you expo about the same time as you warpin 3 sentry, then start getting more colo + upgrades. you end up with ~8 sentries early to defend and build up energy for midgame 2) forge FE (use your pro bw scouting to choose exact BO) with cannons to defend, then get 1 voidray, then a few phoenix to deny Z 3rd hatch and/or kill queens 3) gate stargate gate, make 4-5 phoenix while expoing? not sure if this is standard but some good people were doing it for a while. of course the various warpgate timing attacks vs zerg are strong but it doesn't sound like you're interested in those. | ||
