I need to let out some steam after my first big laddering session.
Zerg is so freaking hard to play. You have to play absolutely perfectly with no mistakes if a Protoss just 4 gates you. Sure it's possible to defend it but the amount of skill you need to do a 4 gate and to execute it is completely different. Just to test the theory out, I went ahead and played 5 games of 4 gate protoss on ladder. I went 2-3. I'm pretty sure that says something since I absolutely suck at offf-racing and that three of the games I played were against other Protosses.
Terran is a bit more fair since they have to be extra careful of banelings, but they still have stuff like banshees and hellions which can kill you if you make just one mistake. It's kind of ridiculous how much effort you need to put in as Zerg to win.
I'm pretty sure I can defend any of these things 4 times out of 5 but losing 1 time out of 5 against a bronze leaguer who knows how to do a 4 gate would piss me off. I think Blizzard really needs to make some adjustment. How, I don't know but I'm pretty tired of losing against people who use all-in builds.

Yea Zerg is pretty bad right now. I used to not really care a few months ago because almost everyone acknowledged that Z was underpowered adn that TvZ was ridiculously terran favored so it was obviously going to get fixed. Right now just looking at the patch notes and reading an interview or 2 /e it really doesnt look like blizzard has any intention of buffing zerg or even acknowledging theres a problem. HBD btw :D

I feel your pain brother, even with the new upcoming patch I don't see it changing much at all, i'm not really satisfied with Zerg's gameplay at all lately, I haven't even been playing SC2, I found myself on BW once again. GL and I hope everything works out for you.

I'm a terran and I think tvz is in a great state right now. There are games where z looks absolutely overpowered, and games were t looks that way, so I think the better player tends to win.
TvP and ZvP on the other hand... ><
protoss has such strong allins and can't die to early aggression due to FFs and get an unstoppable death ball. Hmmm

TvZ early game is pretty stupid, theres so many tech or army rushes and builds terran can do that can outright kill you and a lot of them aren't even allin, but I think any1 who plays zerg has already accepted the inherent reactive nature of zerg. Midgame and onward ZvT feels pretty fine for me and is probably my best matchup. I always lose to some ridiculous 200 / 200 tank thor marine composition in the lategame though but that's probably just me never getting hive tech on time D:

Yep. Zvt is fine really. All the protoss matchups are a bit stupid atm.

If it was all in i could live with it. but no, fucking mule or cheap marines + bunker refund makes the terran have a 50% chance to win everygame in the earlygame with no losses.
Its retarded.
And yes i know how to defend it, im just not very good at it yet. frustrates the hell out of me.
I love when a toss 4gates me cause he's giving up the game if you know how to defend. but bunkerrush, never does that end the game for terran.

Whoever is QQing about toss needs to l2p. I mean seriously I am Bronze yet I beat gold - diamond protoss players as zerg. Have you tried maybe sending the corruptors first to deal with the colossi, and then the roach hydra?

Oh and just so you know. I am only still in bronze because I have not figured out how to beat various forms of cheese as zerg. Macro is generally up to scratch.

I beat the very first 4 gate i ever faced as zerg a couple days ago. Scouted the 4 gates, dropped 3 spines, moved my queens up, and made sure I had ling speed. It was ez pz. After all the QQ I hear about 4 gates, I expected to be under a lot of pressure, but it was pretty simple really. I even mis-microed quite a bit, and had a really fail rally point and still pulled it off with ease. And this was as a silver zerg vs a plat toss.

Balance only applies to the highest level of play not to lower leagues man. I don't know if you are the most qualified to be talking about balance and telling others they don't know anything.

What? Who said anything about balance? I said there is nothing wrong with Protoss. Patch 1.3 is a step too far.
