A taller man can provide that safe feeling, especially if she is a short girl. My ex would always say how much she liked how tall I was - probably only thing going for me though lol! Plus, whether you like it or not, women love competing against each other, whether it's their own looks, or material possessions. A tall man is more attractive, so they like to show you off. What is a tall man though? Some say above average height. Sure that's the definition of it, but for this argument I think, if you are taller than your girlfriend, she will feel safe and want to show you off. | ||

And I don't think I will be growing anytime soon. My friends make fun of my height (just for jokes) and all and yeah, life is miserable being short. I just hope I get a growth spurt soon :T I feel your pain. | ||

TRUST ME, you still have plenty of time to grow. Just eat healthy, drink milk and sleep well. I grew from 5'4 to 5'9 when I was 15 and had another growth spurt at 20 (quite rare yes) to 5'11. As for the OP, you just have to find the positives in what you are especially since there's nothing that can be done to change it. My father started pumping iron at the age of 15 and destroyed his growth pattern. He always told me though that being short meant being more agile and having a lower center of gravity for better balance (he was a football player in school). I'm sure he's had his share of bad experiences but as long as you find the positives in being what you are, you'll be just fine. Oh and I suggest maybe breaking from this 'I would've been perfect had it not been for my height' line of thought. It only creates more tension in your mind and will strengthen your insecurities. Just think of yourself as a work-in-progress human being and ask yourself, what can I change and how can I develop further? Things you can't, just let it go and accept and focus on the things you do have control over. | ||

To OP, while that is fairly small compared to most people, some of the funniest most awesome guys I know are around your height. It's all about mentality I think. Even though I'm 5'11~6 I'd still like to be a couple of centimeters bigger just because :p I think everyone wants to be that tiny bit bigger. Don't worry about it. Also you keep growing untill around 18-20 years. You can also wear shoes with heels or something I dunno. Oh and smaller guys look buff faster when they go to the gym :p | ||

Oh, and you actually can grow till like 22-23. I grew more when 21-23 than 16-21 (well, 4 cm vs 3, but still). And there's also this guy Leonid Stadnyk that's 30 and still growing (supposedly, and that's due to brain damage). | ||
