Like I said, I'm a Day[9] groupie. I thought that Funday Monday would be a nice way to start off, where you guys can get a feel for my writing style, and without blabbering about anything too serious.
I played a few games for funday monday, which was (this week) Mass Queens. You have to produde one queen at all times. This sounds really easy, and oh-so exploitable, but it's actually kinda hard to remember. I'm so used to having one queen per hatch, and maybe an extra queen for creep spread, so it took a while to get the hang of it.
In my mind I had this great plan. I would get queens and spine crawlers for defense, and rush to ultralisk (ultralisk+transfuse is pretty freakin sweet). Unfortunately it didnt really work out. I had a hard time surviving against early/mid game pushes. I think I would have been okay against mech terran though. Of which I met NONE! Or well, one, but he had such good banshee harass (no anti-invis? I SUCK!) That it wasent really possible, and I ended up losing to the infamous MMM-ball (he changed to bio when he saw I went mass roach).
I think I can get the build (ultra+queen) to work if I tinker with it, but I didnt have the time since I wanted to send a replay to Day[9] so I have a chance of getting on the show. Should I ever play it again, I'll probably go from roaches to ultras against Terran and Zerg (dont really know if ultras are worth it against Protoss).
I also had some insane ideas to use nydus worms on their highgrounds, plant a shitload of creep tumors, move an overlord down to vomit creep and cover their natural in creep. Unfortunately, it never became reality. But there's always next time!
Now then! To the awesome games!
I played some really insane games, but I almost always forgot to produce my queens. In the three games I saved I actually forgot queens sometimes, but I was fairly close to constant production.
I also got sixpooled for the first time ever! I did lose to it, but I think I could have held it off if I played better (I'm working on it, dangit!)
Lets do some quick commentary on the games, as well as share replays, shall we?
Like I said - today is not going to be that much about improvement, just about having some fun
ZvT on Blistering Sands
This was the previously mentioned ZvT where I got raped by banshees...This game hurts to watch.
I lost to MMM in the end, but I would have lost to anything really. His banshee harass (which was effective because my spore crawler placement was terrible) got me so scared I didn't want to expand, and he got three and eventually four bases against my two.
Kids, this is what happends when you underestimate banshees! Don't Do It!

ZvZ on Scrap Station
A game where I win? Is that even possible?
You better believe it!
After some reasonably successful ling harass (I'm okay with trading 8 lings for a queen) I get my expansion up. He (the odds point heavily towards a "he", right?) gets roaches first, but gets an expansion eventually. He techs to Hydras while I keep going roach queen, and after some back and forth action we ensue our FINAL BATTLE! (infestors are bastards, by the way).
The best game of the three, I'd say!

ZvP on Lost Temple
And now, the final game. Notice how smoothly I managed to get one game of each matchup. Pure coincidence, I assure you.
This game stands out a bit. All the other games, I've been playing silly, while my opponents have been doing kinda normal stuff. Biomech, Roach+Hydra, standard stuff.
What happends when you normally take a ridiculous cheese build and put it against an even more ridiculous build? Well, watch and find out!
I will say this - Queens are SUPER EFFECTIVE! And transfuse is pretty damn sweet.

Aaaand that's all folks!
On a closing note - Fucking around like this is great fun and I urge you all to try it!
The only bad part is that I feel like the Colonel is going to come barging into my room, yelling: STOP THAT! IT'S SILLY! (If you don't catch the reference, you desperately need to watch some Monty Python. You can thank me later.)
In the future I will actually have some real commentary (in large amounts, too!) on my games as well as share my ideas on how to improve, and try to take some criticism and tips from my readers (if I manage to get any :p ).
For now
GG WP!
