My stereo system for my PC has always been pretty shitty, and I'm surprised it even lasted this long to be honest. Anyways, it just kicked the bucket and I'm looking to get some new speakers for my computer.
I like to play my music loud enough where I can hear it in the kitchen (maybe like 15 feet away?) so I would prefer something more than 2 small PC speakers. I would prefer to spend as little as possible to get something half decent. I don't know a whole lot of stereo system jargon, so that's all I can leave you with.
I don't have a real budget; if I could spend and extra 15-20$ or whatever for something much better than I would have picked I'm fine with that, but ideally I'm aiming for something pretty cheap like $60-$80.
edit: I've been looking around a little bit and stumbled upon this: http://www.technooutlet.com/egltc04.html?mr:referralID=3d2fb0e2-327c-11e0-9f53-001b2166becc
It seems like it would have enough power for me to crank it up a little bit, and even a remote to use from in the kitchen or whatever. Any suggestions?
edit2: I don't even know if they ship to Canada. ~_~ Canadian site would be ideal as well.

I was pretty satisfied with Edifier (I think they have offices in Canada). It wasn't too expensive and has lasted for over four years for me. Now one of its speakers is broken though, but I'm too lazy to buy new speakers until both are broken.

Ohhh, too late for me to input lol I actually got the Eagle Tech AR506 2.1 (one series up from the one you linked), they are great and look fantastic too: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=6078119&sku=E42-0006
Got them on sale for 60 bucks :D I tend not to go for cheaper surround sound systems, good 2.1s serve me quite well
glad you like your choice tho!
// i have a friend who is looking for a budget surround system and checked out the z506 too. they said the sound gets a bit wonky/distorted if you crank the volume up lots? can you confirm this? :o
