The first thing I do the morning of a tournament is I wake up and eat two raw eggs mixed into a cup of black coffee. This will help you wake up. Then I go for a two hour run, and think of all the possible ways to kill marines. If you picture it in your head, it will happen. You might have two lings, but they'll kill those 5 marines cause you spent the time imagining them dead. The next thing is to take an ice cold shower. This will wake you up even more and invigorate you, as well as remind you of the cold pain of losing to cheese. You can also spend this time thinking of clever BM to put your opponent on tilt. I normally call them "bad" or "lacking self respect", this seems to work. Alright, now it's 10 minutes before your tournament, so I suggest opening Liquipedia and trying to memorize a build order before the game starts. I've found this helps. Alternatively, you can spend the time theorycrafting the quickest way to get to Motherships. Now it's time to play, and you're going to win. Good Luck! Oh, and one more thing, listen to this the whole time: + Show Spoiler + + Show Spoiler + Seriously though, I would say to know all your BOs inside and out. Have a game plan for each match-up if possible, so you won't have to come up with one once the game starts. Also, consider all the ways you can scout for cheese, and remember to do it! Just remember, a tournament is supposed to be fun, so... have fun! Remember to disregard the first part of this post. :p Good Luck!

I would suggest just trying to picture yourself in a calm state of mind and imagine yourself back at home in the same chair and desk that you usually play in. Thats how I prepare myself for my tests. If you're too tense then I suggest contracting every voluntary skeletal muscle in your body group by group for 5-10 seconds each and then relaxing it. Psych teacher tells me this forces the brain to relax.

Anyhow, I plan taking the day before off, and playing and then sleeping in that order. Get a good nights rest, but not TOO much sleep because then you wake up tired. Get a little physical activity to get the blood flowing and work out the nerves. Then game time, just try not to think too hard. Play your game.
